Chapter 12

LUCAS POV
"Hey Riley can I speak to Farkle alone?" She just nods and I say "what have you been saying about me Farkle?" "I just think that you have been manipulating Maya. She is always talking about you and it's getting old. Maya is just going to get tired of you so leave while you still can." I just furrow my eyebrows and say "stop bothering Maya. If you're going to talk about me say it to my face. That's all I ask of you Farkle. And Don't try and bud into our relationship."

I go upstairs to Mayas room and her face is buried in her pillow. I sit on her bed next to where she is laying and I rub her back. "Maya..." no response. "I'm going home." I kiss her forehead and She looks at me and I smile. "At least give me a hug before you leave." She says with a pout on her face. I walk over to her bed and I say "I could stay." She shakes her head no and says "I have a interview tomorrow." "You're always busy." She rolls her eyes and says "Fine you can stay but only because I won't see you tomorrow."

I take off my clothes and she locks the door. She stares at me. "You're staring." I give her a peck on the cheek before I lay down and I turn off the light. She pounces on top of me and straddles me. "Goodnight Maya." She starts to kiss down my neck and I say "no Maya." While rolling over. I see her furrow her eyebrows and she says "why?" "Because you have a busy day tomorrow. And I can tell that your hormones are running wild and you're about to get your period." She just lays her head on my chest without saying another word. I kiss her forehead before I go to sleep. I just hold her tighter.

THE NEXT DAY

"Lucas?" She shook me as I woke up. "Good morning beautiful." She shakes her head as her face turns a shade of pink. I lock our fingers together and I look at them. A notice a pink bruise on Mayas hand. She quickly pulls her hand away as she sees me looking at it. "It's nothing Lucas." "Maya..."  I pull her into a bone crushing hug. I then kiss all over her face. She laughs a little while saying "I need to get ready." She just stands up and goes to the bathroom. I just sit thinking.

She gets out of the shower and say "turn around Lucas." "Why can't I just enjoy the show maya." She slaps my arm playfully but still makes me turn around. I turn back around while she's changing and I see the bruise on her back. "It looks like it's gotten better. Right?" "I told you not to turn around but yes it has. Now turn back around."

I drive her to her interview and I pout as she leaves. She walks around the car and gives me a soft kiss on the nose. "I just realized how long it's been since we kissed." I say as she walks away. I yell out the window "you owe me a proper kiss Hart."

MAYAS POV

During the interview they say "so I saw your live stream last week." "Yeah." They say "so you and Lucas are so cute. You guys care so much about each other." I raise my eyebrows and I say "Yeah. He's special to me." I look down blushing realizing what I just said. They just nod. The person interviewing me continues by saying "Well we just want to know how it is to have a public relationship because you've never really had a public relationship." "I mean personally it's great because our fan are so suportive and they just want the best for us. It's nice not having to hide from the public eye all the time. It's nice to have someone that supports you without having to hide them." Oh god. I sound so cheesy. I know Lucas is going to be talking about this. The rest of the interview was about my content and my music which lasted for about an hour.

The interviewer ends the interview with me doing a cover.

I'm kind of disappointed in that performance. I wasn't comfortable with the mic and I sounded horrible. I smile and wave and blow kisses to audience as I leave.

It's finally over and I call Lucas.
M- Do you mind picking me up
L- I'm already outside
M- thank you

I get into Lucas's car and he says "How did it go?" "It was mediocre and I'm tired." I say looking at my hands. Lucas hold my hand and kisses the back of it. "Stop being so cute and just let me be mad." I look into his eyes and his face changes into a smirk and he says "I can't help it." I shake my head. Lucas lifts my chin and smiles. I see a flash and I quickly turn away. "Can we go now. I'm really tired." He starts to car up drives.

LUCAS POV
I get to Mayas house and she's sleeping. I shake her awake. She groans and says "carry me." I sigh as I get out of the car and carry her.

We get in her room and she says "stay with me." I kiss her forehead and I say "of course."

She lays in bed till ten just snoring in my arms. "Are you Okay?" She shakes her head and says no "I'm okay.. Just don't watch the interview" "Why? I watch all your videos." She just sighs and smiles "first off my performance was mediocre at best and the interview was boring. So I'm just saving you from wasting your time. Just don't watch it.". He turns my interview on the tv and I hide under the covers. He gets to the part where I'm talking about him and I feel my face turn into a deep shade of crimson red. "Awww that's so cute Maya. I thought that was sweet. Maybe a little cheesy but sweet." "Shut up. Let's focus on how My lukey pookie is going to be so old in two hours." He smiles while saying "hey we haven't even watched your performance yet." "And I don't want to."

We both sit there are watch her performance. "I think that was amazing. And that you need to stop being so hard on yourself." She just side eyes me. "You don't need to lie to me Huckleberry. I'm not going to be mad if you say it was bad. At least say it wasn't my best performance. And I-." I kiss her lips to shut her up.

She pulls away then says "You're going to be so old soon." She says pinching my cheeks. She kisses all over my face until I tell her to stop.

We're watching the good place until Mayas alarm goes off. She turns off her alarm and says "Happy birthday Lucas!" I just smile while my face turns a deep shade of red. "Thank you Maya." She kisses my cheek then says "I'll be right back."

I footsteps coming down the hall and a weird cracklings noise. I pull out my Snapchat before she enters the room. She enters the room with a cupcake and a small firework candle on top while singing happy birthday to me.

I blow out the candle. Then I squeeze maya to death. "Thank you so much."

She lays down and I lay my head on her chest while lightly gripping her thighs that are around my waist. She starts to run her hands through my hair and I smile. "Mmm that feels good." I pull my body up towards Maya's and I kiss her lips slowly. She pulls away and says "No more waiting?" I shake my head no while taking off my shirt.
