Chapter 19

It's been a month since me and Lucas put the video and surprisingly me and Lucas gained subscribers. But me and Riley haven't been the same. She's still kind of mad about me lying to her.

I walk out of my room to eat breakfast with Riley "Hey Riles." "Hi." We eat in complete silence. "So how long are you going to be mad at me. It starts to get really lonely when I'm in a room with you and I still feel alone."

Suddenly she has an outburst. "I don't know maya. Maybe until you start making an effort and not trying to buy me back. I don't want your money." It's a moment of silence. "I'm sorry. I'll try harder. I just don't know what you like anymore. I try to do things but you always tell me your busy or it sounds boring." She sighs while saying "I only say that because they're things you want to do. You don't think of the things I like."

"I'm sorry that I don't listen to you Riley. I'm really sorry. I'm listening from now on. I just miss my best friend." She stands up walks over to me and hugs me. "I missed you too peaches."

Me and Riley have been talking about what she likes for hours and we finally choose something to do for the day. We decide to go boating.

"Riley I'm kind of sea sick but I'll do anything for you." I say as we're boarding." She hugs me and holds me for a while.

We get back to land and I throw up in a trash can. "I'm sorry maya." "It's okay. Don't be sorry." I say while lifting my head, wiping my tears then smiling.

We get back home I go to my room. I immediately fall asleep. I wake up to the doorbell ringing.

I get downstairs and I see Lucas behind the door. "What are you doing here?" I ask while opening the door. "Did you forget? We have a date." "Oh my god. I'm sorry I totally forgot. Can I please take a rain check." He stands there for a moment then says "okay. Bye maya." He then walks out the door.

Lately me and Lucas have been spending a lot less time together. We barely get to see each other as is and now I have to spend more time with Riley. We see each other About once a month.

I go upstairs into Riley's room and I say "what do you want to do now? Watch a movie?" She just nods her head. Of course Riley falls asleep before the movie and I do something I haven't done in months. I cry. I shouldn't have to give up something to have something else. Why can't I just be selfish for once in my life.

I go into my room and I trash it. I stop for a moment and I realize what I've done. I take a moment to catch my breathe then I take a walk outside.

I find myself at Lucas's place. I knock on the door and he says "hey stranger. Let me just make sure you're not sleep walking."

He tried to touch my face but I slap his hand before he can touch it. "Shut up." I say while laughing. I pause and start over by saying "I'm sorry about earlier. I was being insensitive and I should have went." He just holds me. "It's not your fault."

I finally let go of him and I smile. "I missed you cowboy." "Good." I finally realize he doesn't have a shirt on and my eyes wonder to his chest. And I missed his body. He holds me face and says "what are you looking at?" "You." I say and I kiss his lips.

He hugs me again. "I missed you so much maya." I bury my head in his chest and I just take in his scent. "I want to stay with you forever." He chuckles while petting my head. "And I wish you could. But you're going to leave if I keep you here too long." I shake my head against his check. "I just feel out of place. This is your place. I don't want to intrude." "Believe me your not. It's nice having someone else here." I smile while saying "I just would like us to stay somewhere where both of us decorate it. I want it to feel like a home." I regret it as soon as it comes out. I'm rushing everything. Every joint in my body freezes. Lucas kisses my head and says "that makes me feel so much better. I thought you were getting tired of being around me. Give it a few more months and maybe we will have a place to ourselves." I smile.
