I stared at Gerard as he furrowed his brow slightly, looking at me continently, like he was searching for words.
As I looked at Gerard, his gaze met mine and he grabbed my small, pale hand. I tensed up, and he smirked at me amused. I started blushing like mad.
"Gerard?" I questioned quietly. Barely audible.
"Do you want to maybe stick around with me today? Save your money, you can be my guest to the concert. I can put you next to the stage and you can meet the guys! They’ll love you! I want to hang out with you." His voice was filled with hope and excitement
I couldn't think to say anything, I was so shocked and happy, and so I slightly nodded my head to indicate that I would hang around with him. I was honestly baffled that Gerard Way would want a complete stranger to spend his down time with him, but I was thrilled and a little scared that this was a cruel joke, or a dream.
My luck had suddenly changed, and I questioned how long it would stay this way.
“Do you need to get anything or do anything before we go to the bus?” Gerard asked, pulling me up with him and walking towards the glass doors.
“Yeah, uh, I need to stop by my place and change and stuff.” He nodded and we got into my small car.
I drove down 40 and turned into my small apartment complex. It was a fairly nice place for someone with limited funds, such as me.
Gerard looked around and smiled almost as if he approved of where I lived. I cut the engine and opened my door, but before I got out I glanced at Gerard. He was Still buckled in and looking around
I cleared my throat to catch his attention. “We’re here.”
He chuckled and stepped out of the car, following me down the narrow hallway and up the metal steps to my place.
I fumbled with my many keys and finally was able to open the black door labeled 9C. I swung the door open and blushed as he stepped through the threshold and into my living room. I think he noticed because he spoke up suddenly.
“It’s dark and unique. I love the art on the walls.” He beamed.
“Thanks, It’s uh, it’s mine.” I admitted walking toward the kitchen, which was separated by the bar.
“For real?” He asked looking surprised and amazed at the same time.
I nodded my head looking at him through the cut out in the wall, allowing me to see his face light up like a child’s. He walked around admiring all of my art work and then stumbled across my comic book collection. He looked like a three year old on Christmas day who’d just gotten a new bike.
“COMICS!!” he screamed excitedly. I laughed at him and walked towards the hall in between the living room and my room.
“Feel free to look at them, the remote is on the table by the lamp-“ I pointed towards the red end table by my black leather couch,”-if you want to watch television. Movies are above the T.V. Make yourself at home. You can eat too.” I pointed at the kitchen, but before I had the chance he was already in my fridge pulling food out with him.
“Fhanks” He grumbled with a bag of chips in his mouth.
“Yupp, I’m hopping in the shower. Be out in a bit.”
With that I turned to head to my room.
Then it hit me.
Gerard Way was in my apartment.
Fuck.
