Xavier smiled softly. "Well um...I better get back home. M-My uncle will start to worry." Amy picked a rose from someone's doorside garden. "Alright. Just don't tell anyone I took this."she laughed and picked the thorns from the stem. "Maybe. We could meet tomorrow?" "S-sure..."Xavier stuttered. Amelia smiled,"Good. Meet you at the fountain in town square."Her eyes sparkled in the sunlight as she walked away tucking the rose behind her ear.

Xavier smiled happily and his red face turned to its normal pale tone. He looked to the sky and sighed. 'Time to go home.' Xavier ran toward the tower. He started gradually slowing down. He coughed. Xavier decided to walk the rest of the way. He made it home just before 6:30. Xavier opened the large oak doors to find Luke starring at him in pure horror.

Xavier nearly jumped out of his skin at the sight of his brother shaking with fear. His wide eyes said it all. "L-Luke....are...you alright?" Luke grabbed his brother and wrapped his arms around him tightly, nearly falling to the floor. "W-we need to g-g-get out of h-here."he was shaking violently. Xavier hugged his brother,"ahhh tell me what happened. What's wrong?" Xavier sat Luke down on the couch. He threw a blanket around him. "Tell me what you saw." Luke's eyes looked blood shot from the flowing tears running down his cheeks. "X-Xavier....Seth. B-Blood...a-att...."He pointed to the upstairs attic. Xavier tried to make sense of his jabbering. "U-uncle...bad..g-go."Luke signaled for Xavier to go see for himself. Xavier gulped. He slowly made his way upstairs piecing Luke's words together in his head.

When he made it to the door it was slightly cracked open. The lock had been busted off of the chains that were now laying on the ground. Xavier's hand shook as he pulled the door open. Extreme pressure built up in his chest. The sight of the room shot fear through his whole body. His legs became weak and wobbly.

There was a trail of blood entering the room. As if something had been dragged inside. At the end of the trail was a damp puddle with an open first aid kit laying beside it. Thoughts swirled around in his head. 'S here had the blood come from? Where was the thing that shed it!?' Xavier shook and quickly shut the door. He took the chains and bound them to the door. He attached the lock and ran down the steps to Luke. "W-We can't say anything about this. Do you u-understand? If Seth was the one who put it there he will come after us next if he found out we knew. We need to lay low...then after we've had dinner. We'll run away. Okay? We'll escape."

Luke nodded. Not two minutes went by before Seth entered the room. "Hello boys, ready for dinner?" He smiled as if nothing had happened. "Our guest will be here soon." Luke pulled off the blanket and avoided eye contact. "You two okay? You seem off."he laughed uncomfortably. Xavier grinned believably."we're fine Uncle Seth." "Good. Well, I'll start on dinner. Be sure to welcome our guest!" Seth disappeared into the kitchen. Xavier let out a deep breath as if he had been holding it for a while. At that moment the door bell rang and Luke his under the blanket.

Xavier stood and cautiously walked over to the door. He opened the door and met the strange man at the door. Xavier had to look up to meet the man's eyes. He was tall. Very tall. Looked to be a few inches taller then Seth. He wore a black suit, black bow tie and a brow vest over his button up shirt. Over his pitch black crazy hair he wore a dark grey fedora. The man smiled at Xavier at locked eyes with him. Those eyes. Those bright, beautiful, blinding  yellow eyes. Xavier stepped back trying to stand still but for some reason felt intimidated. Perhaps it was his size....or something Xavier couldn't quite put his finger on.

Xavier walked calmly toward the dining room. "Right this way." Xavier went inside and pulled out a chair. The man stumbled into the room limping a bit on his left leg. He was obviously trying to hide his odd walk. The man took his seat and hund his blazer and hat on his chair. Seth brought the food and sat it at each seat. Luke followed close behind. After they all took their seats Seth smiled. "Boys I'd like you to meet Mr. Witcher, an old friend." "Doctor....Dr. Witcher actually." He poked at his salmon. "Right. Dr. Witcher." Seth grinned. "He will be staying with us for a few days." Luke looked at Xavier worried. "Okay." Xavier said as he started to finish his food.

After everyone had finished their food Xavier let out a fake yawn. "May we be excused" look mumbled. "Oh, yes, of course." Seth smiled faintly as the boys walked out of the room and up the steps. "I apologize for my nefews. They are a little shy." Seth smiled. "Oh yes, I know. Xavier...he is quite something. I have enjoyed being able to talk to you. Xavier is friendly to strangers. I'm sure Luke will be too soon enough." Wither smiled and sipped at the crimson wine in his glass.

Meanwhile Xavier was stuffing clothes and fresh fruit into his bag. Luke helped gather water and other supplies. As soon as the boys had finished they creeped slowly down the stairs. The boys pulled up their hoods and snuck out the door. The twins sprinted down the road. Xavier huffed as they ran. Xavier's chest started to tighten. His eyes widened. Xavier fell to his knees panting, frantically gasping for air. Luke kneeled at his side. "Zave. Zave? Xavier! Zave!" He searching in his back for Xavier's inhaler. Xavier's face turned red as he struggled. Luke couldn't find his inhaler. He started to panic and screamed for help. Xavier passed out into the ground, blacking out.
