Bill's P.O.V
"Boyfriend? Care to explain where that came from..?" I teased once Mabel was out of hearing range.
"Forget it. You said we're not going to date, so that's the end of it." The pain in his voice wrenched my gut. It wasn't very obvious, but I could hear it.
"It's not a big deal, seriously. Just a stupid slip of the tongue."
I placed my hand on his shoulder and turned my whole body towards him.
"Please don't feel like I rejected you. I didn't turn you down. I just.." He was staring right into my eyes as I spoke which definitely took me off guard. I know, this may seem cliche, but he really has the most beautiful eyes, I've ever seen.
"I don't want to do anything to hurt you. Honestly, I'm just giving you a chance to change your mind.." I added with a small smile, to try and lighten the mood.
"Uh," he broke our eye contact and started eating his food again, "It's not really a big deal. Let's move on."
We ate our food in silence until the end of lunch bell rang, which was only 10 minutes.
Dipper was the one to break the silence, "Uh Bill?"
"Yeah?"
"I don't know what we're doing.." He grabbed my hand and looked up at me with those beautiful eyes.
"I'm not changing my mind."
My heart swelled with joy at those comforting words.
"Ha, we'll see.."
