My Friend's Brother (a BillDip fanfiction)

3: At home

Dipper's P.O.V

We were now just sitting in our room, me reading, Mabel drawing, waiting for drowsiness to declare that it was bed time. Mabel decided to strike up conversation, which was the last thing I needed right now, with having been forced to socialize with not one, but two people. I hate when I make an ass out of myself with first impressions. The not-so-recluse brother probably thinks I'm an idiot...

"So that guy you were talking to, was that her brother?"

"Maybe, he certainly was more chatty than Pacifica made him out to be, so probably not".

"What were you two doing?"

"Getting me water," I answered, trying to put across how annoyed I was that she was interrupting my reading, especially because she dragged me into that mess. 

"Oh, well that's nice of him."

"Yeah." I considered ignoring her next comment. Only problem is she'd know it was intentional.

"He seems cool."

I shoved my head under my pillows, in an attempt to drown her out, and dragged my book with me.

"Also he was hot, like holy crap. Wouldn't you say so?"

Why can I still hear her?

"Oh yeah! Absolutely, like holy shit, like how is that house not on fire right now? How did I not catch skin cancer from his radiance? I don't know how a mere mortal like me could survive looking upon the face of a deity." I decided that over the top sarcasm was the way to get my point across.

Obviously he was good looking. Mabel has a habit of pointing out the obvious and it drives me insane.

"Yikes, someone's a bit testy."

I sighed, "This is your fault you know."

"How?"

"You dragged me over there, so naturally I'm drained from an afternoon of social anxiety."

"Oh come on, it's fun. I don't want you to be lonely."

"Lonely is a blessing."

"Well.. I'm not going to stop trying."

"And I'm not going to stop hating it." I stood up and turned off the light. "Good night"

Mabel sighed a 'good night' and turned to face the wall.

Maybe her intentions were good, but I rather her intentions to be focused on other things like keeping the room clean or letting me go to bed earlier.
