Dipper's P.O.V

As Mabel dragged me away to our ride, I still was frantically racking my mind of the mired of different ways this conversation with Bill could go and which option was the best. Hmm what could be a long conversation that wasn't the difficult truth..?

As I settled into the back seat, I stole a glance up to the passenger seat where Bill always sits before quickly moving my eyes to my lap. Hmm has that string been on my pants all day?

I tapped my thumbs together as I thought of a way out of this situation, before deciding that I would ignore it until Bill brought it up, if he even did. If he did... I could work my way out of it.

As we pulled up to the house and got out of the car, Bill quickly met up with me and gently pulled me aside.

"So, you're going to tell me what's bothering you, right..?"

"Er.. I-" I looked up to his face and lost everything around me. Nothing in my immediate attention other then my heart in my ears, and the closeness of everything. If I just tiptoed, and leaned forward a bit..

Our lips would meet..

and ruin this friendship we have. Nope, not worth it.

Wait, am I in the middle of a conversation?

"You...?" Bill prompted.

"I.. what were we talking about?"

"Come on," Bill laughed, " let's go in." With his hand still holding my arm, he lead me into the house. I'm pretty sure he was doing it to be condescending, seeing how I'm acting lost right now. I'm not sure what just happened, but my thoughts feel so far away from each other, with nothing in between. What were we talking about? Oh right.

"Oh uh, I have a lot of homework to do. I-I remembered, I just remembered. It's a lot of stuff, I was going to help my sister, I-I'm gonna get to that, bye."

"Really, a lot of stuff? Would you care to elaborate?"

"Just school stuff, not much to elaborate on."

He was still holding onto my arm. Hopefully he wouldn't remember and let go.

"How long will it take?" By now his thumb had started tracing circles into my arm. I'm pretty sure he's not aware of doing it.

"As long as it takes; I have no idea!" By now, I had realized exactly how close we were. Too close to be legal in this friendship game, I think. "So, if I could have my arm back..."

"Alright, well, seeing how you have a set mission, and you're terribly focused, I'll let you get to it. I'll just be up in my room when you're done." He replied, pointedly handing my arm to me.

"Yeah, uh up in your room.?"

"That is what I said, yes."

"K well, I'm going to uh.. go," I said, stepping away slowly towards Pacifica's room.

"Don't forget what you were going to tell me at lunch!" He responded before turning and walking away.

Oh how could I?

A/N: I leave wattpad for 5 days and come back to 113 notifications (which took two hours to look at). It was insane. I'm feeling the love thank you so much. This chapter would normally be twice as long or more, but I split it in half in order to send it out earlier. Enjoy.
