(Darry's POV)

Soda's asleep on the couch and Ponyboy is sitting next to him reading while. Read the newspaper. "Pony!" I yelled since he didn't respond to the first three times I said his name.

"Huh? What?" He asks confused, when he looks up from his book.

"You have homework."

"It's the weekend."

"You still need to do it."

"I'll do it tomorrow."

"No your going to do it now."

Pony puts his bookmark and gets up, dropping the book on the couch. "I'm running away."

Soda wakes up, and sits up wide eyed.

I look back down at my newspaper and continue reading it, pretending I didn't hear him.

I hear the door open and slam shut. "I'm running away!" He yelled through the door. I still ignore him.  And I'm trying not to laugh.

I hear his foot steps hitting the ground. "HEY! I'M RUNNING AWAY!" Pony stopped for a second "DARRY!"

He marches back inside, slamming the screen door shut. "What the heck, Darry? You were suppose to stop me! I'm trying not to laugh, and smile to give it away. "Fine, whatever I'm going to my room!" Pony marches down the hall, slamming the door shut. Then  I hear the door open, and Pony appears again. "I forgot my book." And he disappeared again.

I chuckle. "Classic"

"You were really gonna let him run again?" Soda asked.

"No, that's how I'm going to stop him from running away." Soda shakes his head and grins.
