Vanessa's eyes widen as she registers Tony's request, her gaze dropping to the floor.

"Please kiddo." Tony says. "We really want to help you. But you have to let us in."

Taking a deep breath, the girl replies, "I guess it's time."

Tony just did something that is very difficult for him, so it's only fair that she does the same, and deep down, she knows he's right.

"We won't do anything that makes it too hard hard on you okay?" He says, giving her hand a light squeeze as she nods.

"Okay." She replies with a shaky breath.

As they enter the lab, the team is already gathered inside, worry written on their faces as they look at the girl.

"Are you sure you want to go through with this?" Steve asks, his tone soft as he talks to the girl, who responds with a nod as she takes a seat on the metal table.

"I've been avoiding this for a long time." Vanessa says. "I think it's time to show you." She adds giving him a reassuring smile, then she turns to look at Tony. "So how is this going to work?" She asks raising a brow.

"We'll have Wanda connect us through a mind link so we can see what you see." Tony explains, signaling Wanda with his head.

As Wanda takes a step forward, she makes eye contact with the girl, her eyes asking for permission to enter her mind, to which she responds with a nod.

"Is there anything specific we're looking for?" Bruce asks.

"Good question." Tony says. "Just keep a lookout for any signs of experimentation for the time being. We're trying to find out if her abilities developed on their own or if the source of her abilities is something else."

"If you want to stop at any moment, let us know." Steve says, placing a warm hand on her shoulder.

"I will Cap." She says giving him a small salute, slowly lowering herself until she is laying on the table, taking in a breath as she tries relaxing her muscles. "I'm ready."

Tony glances at Wanda giving her a small nod, said woman taking a step forward, a red glow emitting from her fingertips as she places a hand on each side of the girl's head.

Once she establishes a connection, Wanda closes her eyes as well, focusing on traveling through her mind as well as connecting the rest of the team so they can see as well.

At first everything is dark, bright lights slowly sparkling to light as everything comes into focus, a wall of static like noise growing silent as the team floats in nothingness.

"Are we here?" Steve asks looking around, his question answered when Vanessa appears, signaling them to follow her.

As they go deeper in, images start coming to life, quickly flashing one after the other until they reach the ones they are looking for.

The Avengers pause as a particular series of memories flashes in front of them, their eyes widening as images of them being tortured in different ways flood through her mind, the floor beneath them lighting up in a bright blue color.
