   Chapter 7 – Ditching.

My mouth hung open as soon as those words left his mouth. He chuckled at my expression even though I didn't find anything funny in our situation.

"You get me sent out of the class and you have the nerve to ask me to ditch with you?" I asked, pointing my index finger at myself dramatically.

He rolled his brown eyes, "You're acting as if I asked you to rob a bank with me. C'mon, don't tell me you never ditched in your life."

"I never ditched in my life!" I exclaimed.

He frowned at me. "Really?" he asked amusingly but when he saw my serious and shocked expression, he understood that I was dead serious. "O-kay. Damn, you're missing out. You have never ditched? That's practically unbelievable."

"Why? Do I look like some badass who ditches school?"

"No," he laughed. "You don't need to be bad to ditch school. I mean, I bet even a nerd has already ditched, at least once. It's not a big deal. C'mon, live a little. Lose yourself."

"But my parents..." I trailed off.

"Will you stop worrying about everything and anything for once?" he asked, waving his hands in the air in frustration. "God, I've known you for like a week but I already know that you're someone who never really enjoyed herself because you're too scared of the consequences of your act. If you don't live life dangerously then what's the point of living?" he asked as he started walking towards the main gate.

I frowned as I started walking after him, "Well...you don't necessarily need to live dangerously to enjoy life. You can enjoy life simply by studying and having a good job. Then, when you'll get married, you'll be able to keep your children happy. I think that's the purpose of life, right?"

He stopped suddenly but didn't turn to me. Instead he spoke up, "You think life's purpose is planning for your future? You're young and you will be young only once. All these jobs shit can go to hell. Imagine you have a great job and whatsoever and one day, your children will ask you 'oh mom, what did you do in your teenage?' and you'll answer what? 'I was just planning for the future you know'." He scoffed at the end.

I frowned, considering his words. I've never thought about this and I wouldn't admit that he had a point right there. "That's stupid," was the only thing I found to say.

He chuckled as he continued on walking, "Admit it. You have no arguments to what I said."

"No. Whatever. I'm going back in," I said, turning my back to him as I started walking back towards the building.

"Yeah. Go back to your little boyfriend inside. I knew you were to scared to enjoy your life in fact," he said. I continued on walking, knowing he was saying this only to provoke me.

"Coward," he sang. "You can't even ditch a class, HA! I thought we were going to be good friends but obviously not."

"Can you shut up?" I snapped as I walked faster.

"C'mon, I know you wanna try. It's fun. I swear."

     "No. We'll get in trouble."

"We won't and if we do, I'll take all the blame. Now c'mon, don't be a pussy."

     "But..."

"Do you really wanna go back in that class?" he asked and I froze. Chris was still in there and he would probably get really mad because I talked with Justin so this might as well be my escape.
