The bloody alarm startled me the next morning even though I wasn't asleep all night. The current situation wasn't really serious. Just some crazy teenage love issues which I clearly didn't and still don't wanna get involved in! There was a reason why I was single in my previous life.
Mark had probably slept early which was why I didn't get a reply. Part of me wanted to call him up and ask for help, but at the same time I didn't wanna be selfish. It was my responsibility and he was just trying to help me deal with a problem. Who knew another problem would pile up with this!
I couldn't sleep now, and Winwin was still asleep. So I decided to go cycling around the colony. Maybe that could ease my mind. I ran downstairs and headed out and took Renjuns bike which was luckily unlocked and then started cycling.
This is what I used to do before as well, cycle around till I get calm. That is mostly when I think about life and stuff. Yes, I do think about life at times!
I noticed some shops were just opening, few stray cats and dogs. Some people going for work and some people jogging around. The morning breeze made the scenery even better. But among all this, I saw someone familiar. Too familiar that is.
It can't be. It was Jeno. Sitting on an empty bench with earplugs in his ears. He looked really tired and seemed as if he would drop any second. Did he not sleep last night as well?
Part of me wanted to go and talk to him. But what if he just ignored me and leaves me without hearing me out again?
After a while of thinking and changing my mind over and over again, I decided to just suck it up and go to him. As I reached near the bench he was sitting on, I called his name. But he didn't respond. Was the music he was listening to that loud?
He was looking at the ground without even looking up for a moment. Why was the ground so interesting for him at the moment? I had to get his attention, so I tapped his shoulder to which he suddenly jerked up and looked at me. He removed his earphones and had a surprised look on his face.
I started with the chain of apologies only to be interrupted with a sudden and forceful kiss from Jeno.
