The training was about to start and I told Hector that we had to increase the intensity of the workout we did every day. A pack nearby was having problems with rouges and they seek our help. I, of course, was willing to help everyone in need. The rouge problem was getting bigger and bigger and, even after a month, we still didn't have a solution on how to get rid of them. The meeting with the Alphas will be next week and if we don't find the right way to solve the problem soon, small packs will suffer great losses. And that was definitely something I would not allow. The training field was already full when Hector, Lily and I approached the pack members. I stood my ground and looked at them. They had big smiles on their faces and I smiled back. Even though they show me respect, I let my power seep out of my body and they all fell on their knees. I nodded, satisfied, and let them rise.

"Good morning, everyone! Today we will try something new; Hector and I planned a new way to train you. Each day, we will work on something else but every workout will help us develop our strength and speed, just as before. The only difference is that we will train longer and harder. I hope you are ready for this change because we need it; a lot of packs need our help and they know they can count on us. BEATI BELLICOSI!" I finished my speech with our pack's famous phrase and they all shouted out in unison. The translation of the phrase is BLESSED ARE THE WARRIORS. I found it in one of the oldest books my father owns and thought it would be perfect to motivate my pack.

"Guys, I want you to form groups of four. Today we will focus on your resourcefulness in combat. You have to go through every type of attack and try to defend yourself. Later, you will tell me which one was the hardest for you and then everyone will work on it. Oh, and no unfair fights. If you see that your opponent is tired, do not attack him. Understood?" Hector ordered and they immediately split into groups and took their stance. Then, I saw my mate standing all alone beside Lucas, Kaly, Gina and Marcos. They always work together and have a great connection between them. Marcos and Kaly are mates and the other two are a brother and a sister. I decided that Lucas is going to train with Hector, Lily and me so I don't have to work with Axel.

There is no way I am getting all touchy with him.

"Lucas, come over please. Axel, you are free to join Marcos, Kaly and Gina," I ordered and Lucas came to stand beside Hector without objection. Axel let out a deep breath before joining his new partners. They introduced themselves and I saw Axel relax, but not completely. He smiled at them and Gina batted her eyelashes at him. My wolf was reasonable, but she didn't like this at all.

I calmed her down and looked over at my pack to see if everyone formed their groups. All eyes were already on me and they were waiting for my sign.

"LET THE GAMES BEGIN!" I screamed out and the fight started right away. I truned to Lily and trained with her first. She was amazing at this, Hector taught her well.

"You paired him up with Marcos; Hector's best warrior!" Lily whisper-screamed in my face while we were fighting and I laughed.

"He's a big boy, he can handle Marcos."

"I hate it that you guys are like this..." I hit her straight in the nose and her wolf, Ruby, growled in anger. Blood started to trickle down her chin. That was a strong punch from my side and it was kinda unfair to her. But...

"Stop talking about him, train! Sorry I broke your nose, love." She smiled and hit me even harder. I barked out a laugh at her sweet revenge. Now we were both bloody and had broken noses. We were going through the last way how to attack and it is really hard to defend yourself if you don't know what you're doing. Just for one second, her attention was somewhere behind me and I jumped on her back, sending her to the floor. I twisted her arms like I was about to break them and she exposed her neck, showing submission. I didn't let go until she went still and then I helped her up. She hugged me and I smiled at her funny appearance. We waited for Hector and Lucas to finish their training so we can switch. Yes, women fight with men, too. When you're under attack, there is no time to pick out who you will fight with. I find that kind of practice very productive because women get tougher and can fend for themselves, they don't need men to save them form a risky situation. I checked out the pack to see how they were doing and saw that most of them were finished with their first partner and were just switching to another. Okay, this is good. They have to make the full circle. That is why this new training is much harder than the last one but it will make us stronger and wiser in front of our enemy.

"Oh, look at that; that doesn't look so good," Lily said and I followed her gaze. I felt Athena go wild inside me. I will shift and attack Marcos if I don't do something!

"Break my wrist, now!" I said and Lily reacted just on time. Why did I almost go crazy? Well, you see, Marcos beat Axel to a pulp, and was still hitting him, not intending to stop. My mate was seconds away from going unconscious.

Shit.

"MARCOS!" I yelled out and he immediately stopped and stood up, hanging his head in shame. I completely forgot that once he starts to win in combat, he loses control.

Kaly was there to keep him calm and Gina is his friend, she helps him, too; that is why they are with him, he would never hurt them.

You stupid, idiotic, retarded bitch. Why did you partner up your mate with him?

"Marcos, come here. Now." Everyone stopped fighting and looked at me.

I know, I am about to fight with the beast.

"Don't. Rose, do you have a death wish? He will crush you!" Hector just beat Lucas and was by my side in a second. I turned to him and whispered in his face:

"Stop talking, Hector. I may be angry with Axel, but he is my mate. I can't watch him like that, all broken and defenceless. I have to protect him, no matter how much I'm hurt by his actions. So, leave me be, I need this. I need to show Marcos his place for disobeying our rule. At least, that's what the pack will think." I turned back to the pack and called Marcos once again. He left Axel on the floor and Lily rushed to Axel's side. She will take care of him, I know it. Marcos came to my side and I spoke loudly:

"You directly disobeyed my order in front of the whole pack. You saw your opponent was tired and needed a few moments to recover, yet you continued to throw punches at him." I let my voice drip with Alpha power so that he had to listen to me. "Now, you will forget that I am your Alpha. You will fight me like I am a rouge and you will show no mercy until one of us surrenders." Hector gasped but I ignored him. He knew he couldn't stop me from doing this; there was only one thing that he had to do.

The shrill sound of Hector's whistle was a sign to start the fight and I let Marcos attack me first.
