The next morning, I still felt like crap, but I had more strength and could think more clearly. Once I took a long, cold shower, I felt a lot better. I got dressed in a pair of black sweatpants and a black tank top and descended the stairs to eat breakfast.

"Morning, Hector." I greeted my childhood friend and he smiled.

"Princess."

"For the hundredth time, stop calling me Princess or I'll rip your tongue out." I threatened him and he raised his hands in surrender.

"I was just joking with you. Rose."

"You better. Come on, have some breakfast with me." He immediately shook his head 'no' and I laughed.

"Hector, my dad doesn't bite; you know that."

"I know. It's just...uhm....my mate, Lily, she's waiting for me. She decided to take part in today's events and wants me to explain what does she have to do." My eyes bulged out of their sockets. 

He has a mate?

"Why don't I know that? Oh, my God, Hector! You are my best and only friend, you should've told me!" I punched his shoulder and he smiled gently at the mention of his mate.

"You were preoccupied with your training and I didn't want to brag about myself. You don't really love the mate-talk so I kept quiet." He admitted and I instantly felt bad. But! An amazing idea struck me.

"Hector, where is Lily at the moment?" He looked at me with a confused expression but answered anyway:

"At my house. Why?"

"I can't wait to see her and talk to her! I'll even explain to you why I am so against my mate." He was about to say something but I, as always, interrupted.

"No. I will go to the kitchen and take some foods and then we will have a nice breakfast together. I need that so bear with me. Please?" He nodded and I ran off to tell mom and dad where I am going. I went to the kitchen and took as many foods as I could. I was really looking forward to meeting the girl who was destined to be with my best friend. Once I had everything packed up in a basket, I exited the kitchen and found Hector waiting in the hallway. I started walking, but he stopped me.

"Rose, you're not wearing any shoes."

"It's on purpose. But, could you still give me a piggy-back ride? I don't want to make a pig-sty out of your house." He laughed and agreed. I hoped on his back and he took the basket from my hands so I wouldn't fall backwards. I slipped my hands around his neck and we talked about some childhood memories. Before we knew it, we were on his front porch and Lily was opening the door.

"Hello, Lily!" I greeted the beautiful girl and her eyes widened once she realized who I am.

"Alpha Princess, it's an honour." She bowed in respect and I laughed in amusement to myself. Lily lifted her head, smiling politely at me. Hector carried me inside and placed me back on my feet.

"What did I tell you about titles, buddy?" I looked at Hector with a raised eyebrow and then turned back to Lily:  „No need to call me 'Alpha Princess'. I'm just Rosalina or Rose, whichever you prefer."
