ALPHA QUEEN

FIFTEEN.

With the first rays of sunshine, I escaped from Axel's arms. For the first time in years, I slept peacefully and I thank him for that but I had to leave because I felt embarrassed enough. I sprinted down the hall to take a proper shower and get ready for the day. It was already winter time so I decided to wear thick jeans, my favourite grey hoodie, some black fuzzy socks to keep my feet warm and grey Puma slippers. While walking down the stairs, I thought about what I will do until I bumped into my father.

"Morning, darling! How are you feeling?" He led me to the dining room and I followed, suddenly feeling very hungry. The smell of Toni's food has the power to make you eat even when you're not hungry at all.

"I am fine, dad. Really, really fine."

"Let's breakfast and then we have to hold a meeting with the Alphas. Maybe you could add another person into the mix..." I sat beside mom and looked at dad.

"Actually, dad, there is no 'maybe'. I want him to be there." Dad smiled and mom took my hand, smiling happily. I ate my breakfast and then excused myself so I could go wake Axel up. Once I came into his room, I quietly approached the bed and, as I was about to sit down, I heard his voice:

"You left."

"I did," I answered calmly even though my heart stopped at his words.

"You could have woken me up, you know."

"I didn't want to disturb your sleep." His eyes opened at my words and I looked into his beautiful irises. They were too mesmerising.

"Why are you so nice to me? Where is the Rosie I know?"

"Axel! Please, don't remind me of those bitchy times." I hung my head low but his fingers lifted my chin; he stared at my face for a while before he spoke:

"Well, you weren't bitchy all the time; you fought the best warrior in this pack to avenge me. I will never forget that." I smiled but my face soon became a serious mask. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have mentioned it. I know you were hurt deeply that day; I felt it." I was overpowered by the need to hug him so I did. He kissed the crown of my head and I, to my surprise, kissed his neck. Axel's body tensed and I stiffened when I realized what I had done.

Never, ever, kiss an Alpha's neck. His wolf will go crazy and probably mark you by force.

Which is something you definitely don't want to experience.

"You have less than a minute to leave this room because I won't be able to stop Malik from marking you and I don't want you to hate us. Go!" I slipped out of his embrace and hid in the bathroom. I heard a beast-like growl and shivered. 

That was...hot? Damn you, hormones.

"Rosie, where are you?" 

Oh, fuck. Malik really took over – not good.

"Malik, if you hurt me, I will never forgive you. Ever." He stopped walking and I heard another growl.

"You can come out now, it's me." When Axel's voice reached my ears, I sighed in relief, opened the door and jumped into his arms.
