Chapter 13

"Hi." 

Lena chuckled slightly at the Kara's awkwardness, but her face went back to her normal neutral one almost immediately.

"Hello. What can I help you with?" Lena asked, intentionally using her specific business voice. Kara rather took that chance and played along with the dark haired woman.

"I plan on singing a song to one beautiful woman and I'd like to hear your opinion. It might get slightly embarrassing for me, because I haven't used-" Kara quickly reached for the instrument on her back and ended up holding it in front Lena with just two fingers. "-this thing for quite some time and so I hope you don't mind. Anyway, I'd like you like to listen to my desperate way of getting my life back on its track. Of getting my girl back."

Kara managed to say the whole speech without rambling, which left the both women surprised and a bit shocked, since she just couldn't stop rambling while being with the Luthor.

Kara wasn't obviously feeling like wasting any more time and without receiving response from Lena she walked back to the balcony, where she sat on the railing, trying to get some at least decent comfort with the guitar in her arms. Lena froze for a second, but then she just followed the blonde on her office balcony. She had to admit, Kara looked good with the wooden instrument, well more like cute, but she was also able to see some rather hot details that were completing the blonde's look, such as her wavy hair flowing in the direction of wind or her long skinny legs, that were supporting her while trying to sit straight on the railing. Just now Lena realized that Kara was wearing her suit, it looked damn good on her, but she couldn't really say that it went with the black guitar that she was holding.

Lena thought that Kara won't ever be a part of her lufe anymore, she thought that she would just give up on her after Lena hadn't talked to her, well avoiding, literally. Lena already believed that the guy from the restaurant was her new boyfriend, he looked hot, nice and kind of similar to the blonde superhero, so she wouldn't be surprised, but her heart broke when she saw that Kara was able to move on, that quickly even. It left her quite confused now that she saw the blonde standing in front of her again, smiling, looking gorgeous and adorable at the same time. She was already wondering if this was just one of the beautiful dreams, that always turns out at nightmares at the end. She was having those quite frequently lately, so she wouldn't be very surprised. They were both silent for the whole time, both of them thinking, Kara mostly about the different outcomes of this uncomfortable situation that Kara was in, holding a guitar, sitting on the railing on the balcony at Lena Luthor's office. When Kara assumed she was ready, she cleared her throat, which brought Lena's attention back to her and both of them staring at each other's eyes, that's when Kara played the first chord. Lena seemed to relax after hearing the clear tones of the instrument, she was eyeing the blonde trying to focus on play and when Lena thought that she couldn't love the moment more, an angelic voice filled her ears. Alex mentioned that Kara could sing, but this couldn't be called could, Kara mastered the singing and she wasn't even bad at playing the guitar. Lena started to wonder if every Kryptonian would be this perfect.

Can I just turn back the clock?

As Kara let out a first few words Lena recognized that song, she even knew the lyrics and she already planned on taking that advantage.
