A ringing sound echoed through the office as the two women were chatting. Kara quickly grabbed her emergency phone and answered it. It was Alex.
"Kara, I need you to see something at the DEO, where are you?" Kara frowned, which made Lena send her a questioning look and Kara just shrugged.
"Uhh, having lunch with Lena. Is it urgent?"
"Not necessarily, but the sooner you come the better."
"'Kay, will be there in 5."
"Who was it?"
"Alex, she needs me at the DEO. Can we resume this later?"
"Of course. I will take it home for you."
"Oh, no, no, no. I ruined this, means it's me, who will make this right. My place, 7 o'clock, don't bring anything."

"Pleeaase, tell me it's NOT a bank robbery."
"Not anywhere close to bank robbery, follow me."
And then Kara got scared. Thousand things were running through her mind as she tried to think of the reason she's been called to the DEO. Though, none of them was close to the reality.
When they stopped in front of med-bay, which didn't relieve Kara's stressing at all, Alex decided to talk. She was talking slowly, firmly, but unfortunately Kara couldn't make a word, because she sped through the doors right after she saw, who was inside sitting on a bed clad in the DEO clothes. Somewhere in her gut, Kara just felt something was wrong. No wait - not wrong. Strange. Strangely familiar. Very weird feeling. It was like the girl knew her and she knew her.
"We found her in a kryptonian pod at the exact same place Clark found you when you arrived." Alex announced when she caught up with her sister who was now standing frozen, looking at the little girl that seemed to have similar reaction.
"Is she Kryptonian?" Kara asked, tears started to form in her eyes and yet she still didn't know why.
"Yes, she has full Kryptonian DNA." Alex said softly as she approached and resumed herself: "Do you know her?"
"I-I don't know. I feel like I do, but I'm pretty sure I've never met her. Can I have a moment with her? Alone?" The blonde asked her sister, who then just nodded and told the workers to leave.
Kara turned to the girl and approached her bed. When she got close, she kneeled down before the girl and smiled.
"Hi, what is your name, little one?"
The girl glanced at her, obviously not sure if she can trust her, but who could blame her really?
"Uh, Lara..My name is Lara."
"Lara? That's truly beautiful name. My name is Kara Zor-El. Just like you, I am from Krypton and also a refugee on this planet..Earth."
"Kara Zor-El?" Lara asked looking relieved and surprised at the same time. "Is that, why you're wearing the crest of House of El on your chest?" she added.
"Um, yeah, mostly. How do you know that? How old are you?"
"Aunt told me. I'm 7."
"Aunt?"
"Um, yes. M-your aunt, Astra In-Ze."
"Lara, how do you know Astra?"
"She..I was living with her..until they took her. And then Krypton..everything happened so fast..I don't know, what happend.." Lara started sobbing. Kara quickly moved closer to hug her, trying to soothe her. That girl technically just lost her world and Kara knew exactly, how she was feeling. When the crying stopped Kara moved away slightly just to be able to look into Lara's eyes.
