Ch 20: Saving Eri - Part 7

With Shouta...

'Where...am I?' Shouta thought.

A voice rang out in the darkness of Shouta's mind, his eyes covered. "We know all about you. The Erasure Agent: Eraserhead. During the course of our research on Eri, your Quirk was a great reference. As to why I isolated you without killing you, well...that's because there's value in letting you live."

Chronostasis sat on Shouta's back, restraining his movement even more than his already slowed movements due to Chronos' Quirk. "'The Erasure of Quirks'. To him, it's a very attractive power." Shouta tried to move his hand, but Chronos told him to give up, telling him that his movements were too slow, and asking about his friends.

Chronos removed his mask, revealing his clock hand-like hair. "Right now, you've been cut by the hour hand, so for one hour, you'll be stuck in that state. Once he's decided on something, nothing can stop him. I've got no clue how much you know, but...Eri...is the 'boss's' daughter. He'll use anything and everything for the sake of his objective. That's the kind of man Overhaul is."

Back with Izuku and (Y/N)...

Izuku and (Y/N) looked for Chisaki, bouncing around the field of spikes.

'I haven't touched the pieces of the ground that were broken into fragments. So they're using that as their 'wall'. How cunning!!' Chisaki thought, directing four spikes at Izuku and (Y/N), who barely managed to dodge them. Izuku gripped the one that barely nicked his side, and punched downward, splitting the ground.

Chisaki diverted the spikes towards the two combatants. (Y/N) broke them and threw them to the side, thinking of the limitations that were laid on her once she used her Four Element Mode. She had slowly been improving, and the time increased to two minutes, but could it be enough?

'Even if I pass my limit, I have to endure it! Until we win!' (Y/N) thought.

'Chisaki isn't going to let up!' Izuku thought, his right glove being ripped apart. 'He won't give up Eri, even if it kills him! I can't take too much time! Even if he accumulates damage, he can simply 'repair' it!'

Izuku was up in the air, and brought his foot down as (Y/N) came in with her fists clasped together with rocks covering them, and struck Chisaki's head.

'Finish it with one strike to the head!'

'Manchester Smash!'

'Gaia's Fist!'

Chisaki simply jumped to the side, as the two attacks only hit the ground, rubble flying everywhere. 

"No matter how fast you are, compared to the first two and your teacher, the 'approach' of your movements is straightforward and easy to see." Chisaki taunted. Izuku jumped from his position, but soon, blood sprayed into his vision.

In the empty hallways of the basement, Mirio dragged himself farther away from the battlefield, grunting and straining his body as he vowed to take Eri to safety.

'I need to take Eri away to safety, even if it's only a little bit! Not yet! It all depends on me! This is nothin'! I gotta show my power! I'm still good! Move, Lemillion!' 

Mirio suddenly collapsed, his fist clenched against the wall. His head fell close to the ground, his hand shaking in front of him. His thought raced through his head, but he had one clear objective.

"Eri...you need...to hide...and wait for...the others to come...! There are...dozens of people...on their way...all to save...you!" Mirio pleaded. "Eri...! Everything's okay. You'll be fine. Eri...!"
