The rest of the week passed by uneventful. I turned all my assignments in and didn't get my head chewed off thankfully.

The days passed by one after the other, my life turning into an endless cycle of lost hope. By Friday I was tempted to ditch, but I sucked it up and went anyways, at least getting to see one source of positivity in my life. If only a small part but at least it was there.

As I step into the building there he is sitting in his usual seat, with his backpack resting on the other one saving the spot for me as he always does. I take the quick walk over, and sit down beside him. He takes his bag, and sets it on the ground giving me a smile and a quick hey before the devil himself walks into the room. I give him a quick hi back, not needing the professors yelling at me today.

Thankfully my wish came true, and I was left alone for today. Louis and I walked out of the building and headed to our math class we had together which I was internally grateful. The conversation was just mindless chatter until we were nearing the steps of the building.

"So I was thinking that maybe we could do something after school, together." Louis said a tinge of hopefulness in his voice.

I nodded my head excited about the idea, now my Friday would not be consisted of Netflix and soda. And of course being with Louis that was where most of the excitement was centered.

"Ok, what would you want to do?" I asked him not sure what he had mind.

He thought for a moment before speaking up again. "We could go to your place, if that's alright with you," he says looking for my approval. Going to my small studio apartment wasn't what I really had in mind, but I had no other offers to suggest so I agreed.

It was about this time that I decided I really needed to get over having feelings for this guy. Even if they were small, he obviously didn't see us anything other than friends, and I am just leading myself on that he would want to take me somewhere I little more high class than my stuffy apartment.

"I'll meet you after school then," he says taking a seat. I had just realized we were in the classroom now, to absorbed in our conversation to notice, I guess. I tell him I'll meet him by the psychology building, and we leave it at that since class is starting.

I sit on the steps of the building growing impatient. Five minutes late is reasonable, but ten not so much. I let my mind drift to the thought that he had stood me up, but he wouldn't do that would he? He had seemed excited earlier but then again my social skills were a little rusty. As I'm considering all the possibilities of why he's going on 12 minutes late, I see the one and only jogging towards me.

"I'm sorry I'm late, I have a good excuse I promise," he rushes.

"Do you now?" I challenge, curious to know his solid excuse.

"Yes, I do actually. We were taking a test, and she wouldn't let us leave until everyone was finished." He seems quite content with his answer, and I don't question it, but I'm not sure he's telling the whole truth.

"Alright," I say warily. "I believe you."

"Great." He flashes his smile and tells me to lead the way.

We arrive in less than five minutes, and this time I'm prepared. Prepared as in in fully stocked up in sodas so we won't have to go through that ordeal again.

He takes a seat on the couch and speaks up.

"What no offer of a drink this time?" He teases. So he hasn't forgotten I see.

"Ha.Ha. Your so funny," I say in a monotone voice.

"Come on you know it was funny." He starts to laugh and I can't help but crack into a grin.
