Outlaw's Help ~* COMPLETED *~

Chapter 2

     The day was going by fast when They got done with the cows letting them free except for two as they looked to be giving birth soon while they paced them in another barn for the prevent cows. But while Leo was getting them two in the barn to also stay warm Splinter their dad was out looking around while he kept a handgun around him not keeping his guard down.
      Leo soon got the two in locking the barn and walked over to Donnie as he grabbed a bucket to get the food for the pigs tomorrow as they two walked over to the side of their house. " So how is our father today? "
       " He is okay... He keeps coughing more blood though. " Donnie said worried as they got the food for the pigs and placed it to the side, " I think I should stay out tonight... Since Hun was on our property today."
       They got to the front of the house walking up the steps. " Want me to stay up with you?"
       " No, you have to check Father in the mornings... I can't let you get tired." Donnie nods his head as Donnie went in and then Mikey as Mikey helped Splinter inside to lay back in his bed.
       Leo then sat there at the steps getting his rifle to his boots looking around seeing the snow this time getting bigger as it landed to the ground. Leo adjusted his hat and stood up looking up at the sky seeing it was going to be a cold night tonight as he buttoned more of his shirt up.
     Leo then lets out a breath watching the cold air flow up into the sky as the gravity was working. But Leo then looked quickly over to the trees a few feet away from their house as soon Leatherhead came out making Leo look surprised. " Leatherhead. What are you doing here at our farm?"
     " I have come to check on you and your family. There is a word that the Foot outlaws are around our town. " Leo came over and thanked Leatherhead for the news as he then saw him walk back to town making Leo more aware of his surroundings not wanting the Foot outlaws to steal his family's things or livestock.
     Leo went to check on the cows to have a little time as he got to the side door opening it and walking in hearing the silent. He went closer to the who seeing the cows sleeping as he pets one and ditties for a little talking alone. " What am I going to do... Father is getting worse and knows I'm going to be running this place... I need help..."
     Leo then got his hands to his head, not know on what to do when then he thought he was hearing what sounded like horses. So he got up and ran out of the place closing the door and out in the opening not seeing anything but still hearing horses then what sounded like a gunshot that made Leo jump little looking more around worried. " Is it the Foot outlaws?"
     " Leo!" Leo turned seeing his brother Mikey yelling his name as he said some more making Leo's eyes widen and run in. " It's dad!"
   Leo ran in after Mikey went in and Leo went right to his dad room and saw him there breathing hard. " Father..."
     He opened his tired looking eyes as he said getting his hands up a little. " Leonardo..."
    Leo went to his side as Donnie was on the other while Leo grabbed Splinter's hand.  " I'm here father..."
     He looked at Leo holding his hand tightly. " Protect your family... and this... farm..."
     Then Splinter closed his eyes as his hold on Leo's hand loosened as Leo winded his eyes. " No... No father you can't go!"
     Donnie looked down then at Mikey as he was hiding his crying face while Leo got his head to Splinter's chest crying saying low. " Don't go...father please don't I need you here..."

    They buried their father close to the farm where there were graves of the ones that also lived here. Donnie and Mikey left to do their duties at the farm while Leo felt he didn't have the strength to work as he still had tears fall for his fathers passing.
     But while Leo stood there Donnie came over as he said. " Leo one of the pregnant cows got out..."
    Leo looked at Donnie wiping his eyes as he said. " Alright, I'll go find her... Make sure you or Mikey is out when I return with her."
    Donnie nods while he went to grab one of the rifles and meets Leo in the barn as he was getting on his horse. Donnie came over and handed Leo the rifle.
     Leo thanked Donnie as he said before riding off. " Once they know father passed they will try to get our land so make sure you and Mikey are armed. "
     Donnie then watched Leo ride off as he followed the very little trakes he could see as he was going at a run. But as he was getting into the trees he had his horse walk looking around trying to find the cow as it looked like it was in a run. ' What freaked the cow...'
     Leo saw it went thru the part of the land that was not really safe as it had so many branches all around the place so he got off his horse and grabbed his rifle starting to get in to the place climbing the slippery rocks and hold the branches he would not fall in the mud that would easily get him stuck if he landed in it. So Leo kept himself from falling in as he kept going on the rocks.
     He would keep going as he soon heard the cow as it sounded like it was freaking out. So Leo went a little fast as he saw it trying to get out of the mud making Leo chuckled getting to the cow coming to its side. " Hey, girl how did you get here?"
     So Leo then went to her front as he got the rifle to the rock and grabbed her front trying to pull her out as she makes a loud cry as if she was scared making his say out loud too. " Stop yelling girl I'm trying to help!"
    But as soon as she stopped yelling he heard a growl making Leo turn slowly seeing a big grizzly bear there as it was struggling but getting their way as still fast. " Oh shit!"
