Chapter 22

     The six was staying put as it looked like from Raph till he saw a figure behind him as he turned fast when the man swung his arm and Raph yelled in pain landing to his chest hard in the snow with a hand to his side feeling his blood as the man might have swung a sword or something like that.
     Raph grunted and started to get up and run as far as he could but another man came and hit him hard on the head as Raph fell to the snow yet again to his back as he felt pain at the two spots. Then a boot went to Raph's face as he heard the man say. " Yeah, we think six is enough!"
     Raph breathed hard as he felt his side getting worse as if the cut was deeper then he thought. So he closed his eyes and thought of what he did on the farm while healing.
     Raph enjoyed all of it even the fighting with Leo as the man said to him. " Good night Raphael."
     Raph wished he didn't leave but it was for Leo's family as he felt his breathing was getting harder not sure if he was waiting for the killing blow or the pain from the deep cut to his side.
     But as he waited he thought he was hearing something coming fast to their way as he thought. ' Did that horse come back? Or could it be that bear... Please be the bear.'
     Then a shot was made while the boot to Raph's face left making Raph eyes opened and got a little up from his side in the snow as he saw a figure to the far side while it walked over fast to where Raph widened his eyes. ' Leo?'
    Leo came and shot the other man on a horse as he then got to Raph getting his arm to get him on his feet. " Get up Raph!"
    They got up and tried to run off as they would stumble a few times while the fell hard to the ground as Leo quickly got up yelling. " Get up Raph know!"
    Raph started to breath harder as he grunted and got up as that got Leo to see the cut to his side as he went and get his arm over his neck. " Leo... What are you doing here..."
     " I'm saving your ass! know walk faster!"
     " Give Raph to us know!" a man that came to them on the horse as he jumped off and landed one of them as they rolled to the snow as it was Raph they landed to the ground as Leo was rolling with the man. Raph looked at them as he saw Leo over the man while another came. " Leo look out!"
     Leo looked at the man as Raph then saw it was the man with the sword as he swung it making Leo yell and fall to his back as Raph felt that got Leo badly.
    But as he tried to get up he saw the rifle Leo had brought as he got it and aimed it at the man so he shot him as he fell to the ground fast. The other got up that was rolling with Leo as he was heading to Leo but Raph yelled in madness. " Don't you touch him!"
    He got up and too shot that man as Raph went over the fastest he could but the last two came over and grabbed the gun and pinned Raph to the ground as he grunted and heard them two getting their guns ready. Raph felt his body getting colder as well as getting weaker as if he was going to not make it this time.
     A gutting noise was made when one man's body fell to the snow as Raph wanted to open his eyes and see what was going on as he was hearing fighting until he then felt some on grabbing him and whistled as a horse came to them and Raph was getting placed on the horse. The man mounted on the horse as he got Raph angled to where he was sitting on the saddle to the front but facing the back of the horse.
    He felt the person get him to his front so as soon as he felt his head to a shoulder he slowly opened his tired weak eyes and saw Leo there with his right face cut right across his eye from his cheek to his foreheads right side. Raph breathed hard saying weak trying to speak and move. " Leo... L-Leave me..."
     " No... I came to get you and that's what I'm doing!" Leo said as if mad while they ride off fast.
    But after a few minutes, Leo had to get them to hide somewhere quickly because Leo didn't kill the last man as well he noticed a few more that was coming to the fight as Leo held Raph hard against his front not wanting Raph to fall. Leo blushed from feeling Raph's hard breath right on his neck but it let Leo know he was still breathing while Leo said. " You were wrong about no one waiting for you Raph..."
     He opened his eyes looking at Leo as he could not move his body still. " H-How?"
     Leo stopped and got himself and Raph off the horse and to what looked like a tunnel as he got them in and laid Raph down slowly showing that part of his clothes were all wet from his blood. Leo then got up and went over to the horse grabbing the blankets and supplies while he tied the rein and made it run off as he covered their steps and went back to the tunnel.
    He ran to Raph and got a blanket over Raph quickly using the other blanket as a pillow for him as Raph grunted hard as well saying. " How L-Leo... Am I - I wrong about -"   
        " Because... If you died and didn't come back... I would be the one sad... I would be the one waiting for your return... You are a part of our family know Raph..." Leo said trying not to cry as he got Raph's hand holding it." If you can just hold until the morning is here then we will go back home..."
    Raph opened his eye and looked at Leo then at his cut face. " Donnie... Is going to k-kill me... when he seeing you f-face. "
    Leo laughed a little then got Raph's cold hands to his mouth and tried to keep them warm saying with a blush. " Stay alive Raph... For us... For me..."
