The only audible sound inside the beautiful monotonous room was Zhao's breathing. He had awoken a few minutes ago after he dose off for a minute and was confused as hell because for one, he didn't even remember falling asleep.

He opened his eyes, taking in his surroundings as he was again left alone to his tumultuous thoughts. Thoughts that always haunted and plagued him like a bad case of withdrawals, though he guess in a sense, he was having withdrawals of him.

Shen Wei seared right through his heart, right through his pain. He looked over to his hands and noticed for the first time his knuckles covered with gauze after he punched the wall in the office when he has a heated argument with Shen Wei.

He looks like he wasn't moving any time soon. In about of irritation mixed with body-eating depression he took a shaky breath and closed his eyes tightly.

He feels like he was chained down in his own personal hell, again, but this time was not only the second time of coming back. He had no choice but to start thinking. Too bad his thinking left him with excruciating thoughts of the past, and led up to the reason he even came here in the first place, for the first time.

Zhao's life once felt so easy, for so long. He'd grown up with extreme wealth, and parent's giving him everything his heart desired. He never wanted for anything, well that is, until he met Shen Wei. And the day he met him was left on him like an imprint in his mind.

The thing with Zhao, even though his family was filthy rich, he saw a lot of things different than other normal people did. Most, okay all, of his past lovers were always after him for his money. The richer they were, the more attractive they were in their eyes. But he hadn't ever had a real, serious relationship in his entire thirty five years of existence. He had experienced heartache but not love.

We had been talking to Shen Wei for the past couple of weeks and it's been great. Things were more so on a friendly-lover level, but they were both on the same page, feelings wise. He just didn't want to move too fast and mess it up.

Because once he liked someone, he liked them. And he knew how he acted. A damn mess.

But why does he feel like Shen Wei is the one doing the mess now?

He blew out a breath, slightly laughing at the situation he was in, finding it quite ironic.

Placing his arm over his eyes, he laid completely still trying to adjust to life.

Zhao was peacefully lying in his hotel room, almost falling asleep until he abruptly sat up again, quicker this time. He looked around for the clock and it was on top of the chest of drawers beside the lamp, checking the time.

11:35 p.m.

Leaning over, he grabbed the phone from the nightstand, calling room service.

"Good evening, Mr. Zhao." the receptionist greeted sweetly.

"Yes. Can you send a bottle of champagne up to my room please?" Zhao asked gently tapping his fingers on the bridge of his nose.

"Yes, of course. Will that be all sir?" the receptionist asked again.

"Mhm." Zhao said until he ended up the call.

Drinking probably wouldn't be the smartest thing to do, but when he's stressed, he is stressed. Nothing gets done. But when he drink, he's less stressful and more productive.

He knew he had something to drink all in all, he was glad he was inside the hotel room safe instead of making a fool of himself outside.

Feeling unpleasant from their travels to Golmud City, Zhao decide to take a quick shower—wash the strenuous day away.
