Jungkook sighed in relaxation as he reclined back on the couch in his studio, closing his eyes. After a full month of busy schedules, he was finally able to take a day with no plans on his birthday. Jungkook knew he would definitely spend the day with his friends and family.

And you.

He slowly opened his eyes again. He hasn't seen you in quite some time and hasn't contacted you much either. As much regret he felt, he missed you deeply. The time only time he would be able to contact you was late at night where he knew you would be asleep and his tiredness didn't help either.

He immediately grabbed his phone and went through his contacts to find your name that was under babygirl ❤️. He realized that the last time he contact you was a few days ago, almost a whole week. He sighed to himself and replaced the guilt with a wave of encouragement to text you.

Jungkook:
Hey, babyyyyy :)

Jungkook stared at his message, feeling a wave of anxiety rush through him. He put his phone faced down on the couch cushion, figuring that it would help bring his anxious thoughts down. He couldn't help but think he was being way too casual or too not casual. His thoughts were broken apart when his phone made a little sound.

You:
Hey cute stuff :)

You:
What's up?

Jungkook felt his face light up with a huge grin at the nickname you gave him. He pushed his tongue against his inner cheek, thinking deeply of what to reply to you. He finally began typing.

Jungkook:
Nothing much, I just really miss you.

Jungkook:
What are you doing today?

You:
Awh, I miss you too Kook.

You:
But I'm hanging out with some friends today. We're going to café and then we'll probably just hang at the park afterwards.

Jungkook felt disappointment drop down in his stomach. He bit his lower lip, letting his mole to be exposed as he typed his reply.

Jungkook:
Oh. Is that later today?

You:
Yeah. I'm not sure how long we'll be hanging out but I don't really have anything to do today anyways.

Jungkook frowned at your response. He wouldn't be able to spend his birthday with you- moreover, he was questioning if you even remembered this day you've both spent together for the time you both were together. Jungkook felt something suspicious, though. You've never missed his birthday. Although, he hadn't contacted you for a while so it would be normal that you were busy. However, Jungkook still wanted you to know his disappointment.

Jungkook:
Oh.

You:
Haha, you're so cute Kook.

You:
Of course I didn't forget to get you something on your special day! I'm not the one to forget such an important day.

You:
Your present should be arriving soon, actually.

Jungkook's eyes sparkled as he felt relief flush through his veins. Even if he was saddened at the fact he wouldn't be able to spend the day with you, he was still happy to know that you remembered this day that was dedicated to him. His curiosity was growing, though. What type of present did you give him?
