Love Found In the Contract

Prologue 🦋

Mark's P.O.V.🐇

There was no document that my team could not find a loophole in. They are the best and one of the reasons for which this company keeps making the deals they are making. I have placed my full trust in them, they have never failed to find a mistake in a contract that was not beneficial to us. I have always agreed with them and stood by them in every decision despite others saying otherwise because they are always correct.

Even though I know that they are always correct, I can't fully accept the results that they have send me this morning. My hands and heart are aching to ask them to recheck their work even though I know that their results will still be the same, just like the last three times.

My hearts beats at the telephone rings, my right-hand stretches to pick up the phone but I choose to let it ring because I know that whoever is behind that phone call cannot be more important than what is going on right now. 

As it rings and rings anger builds up inside me. A wave of anger not because I will no longer be single but because my family sold me as if I was property. They sold me to another family in order to seal a deal to increase the Tuan and the Park wealth. They sold me because my sister refused and called them out on what they were doing to us, but I did not. I did not fight like my sister, although I should have. I should have. 

But I didn't. I didn't not because I was weak or timid but rather because I knew that refusing will mean that my younger brother will be next in line for their manipulation, and I could not let that happen. He was so young and besides he was not into boys like I was. This marriage agreement would have been one of his biggest torments and I am frankly scared of what he would do to get out of it. 

I agree with this arrange marriage because I was scared that my younger brother will have to take my place but still they decided to sign me up without much thought. The word, "I agree" was not fully out of my mouth when they hurry out the room to go tell the Parks' that the marriage will be happening. 

Looking down at the documents before me, I sign. I sign my life away. 

Jinyoung's P.O.V.🍑

The contract was right before me, ready to be to sign. A contract that stated that in three short weeks I will no longer be a Park but rather a Tuan, just because our families want to increase their wealth by combining their companies. The easier way to do that is through marriage. Something that I had told my father, a year ago when he said that his friend wanted to join his company to another family's company without too much paperwork. It never crossed my mind that he was asking for himself rather than for his friend. Well if I'm being honest receiving this contract did not surprise me as much as it should have because I am already in my twenties which means that I am too old, in my family's point of view, to not be already in a committed relationship thinking about marriage. To my family being close to your mid-twenties and still be single is asking for your grandparents, in my case parents, to find a suitable bride for you, and that is what my parents have done. They have found me a suitable bride in their eyes which will also allow them to increase their wealth and influence. 

It's funny how when there is something that will beneficiate them they are happy for my sexuality, but when it is all about my happiness they are all against it. So against that, they will go to big measures to drive them away.

It has been such a long time since I have sat down and written something, that has nothing to do with school or work. 

I am very excited about this new fanfic because it will be filled with more lovey-dovey scenes and a lot of character development, from both ends that hopefully will make this fanfic more emotionally engaging, and for it to not only contain a lot of one emotion and a few of the other.
