I decide to wear my favourite dress. It's black and white. The white parts are prints of a cat's face which I find extremely cute and it's simple, too. And since it's evening, not that I don't wear this during day time, I wear my all time favourite denim polo, too; the one I often wear.
And for the last time, I retouch my face, putting a light red lipstick and liquid eyeliner again. Then, I shove my feet into my 3-inch black heels when I'm ready.
I check my phone to see what time it is and also to see if Ashton ever texts me. When I look at it, I have two messages. From Calum.
"What's up?" "Busy, aye?" The messages say. I immediately text him back. "Going out with Irwie tonight!" I reply happily, which makes me more excited about the fact that Ashton and I are really going out tonight. On a date.
"Irwie?" He replies back.
"Oh, I mean, Ashton. Ashton Irwin. You know, Irwie.. Irwin." I type.
"Have a good time!" He replies again. I'm happy because he sounds happy for me, too.
"Thanks. And see you on Monday, Cal." I reply before putting my phone in the pocket of my denim. Monday is when classes start again after a two-week holiday. And I'm not pumped for it. I mean, I sure want to see my other friends but I'm not looking forward to seeing our teachers and school bitches again.
"Judith?" Mum knocks. I feel myself tense, knowing Ashton can be downstairs now.
"Open." I answer. And I hear the doorknob click. I'm sitting on my bed when my mum appears.
"He's downstairs." She smiles widely.
"I know." I grin at her as I stand up. Not that I really know. It's just, he's the only one who is supposed to be here at this time.
"Oh gosh. I can't believe I'm betraying Calum." She says, sounding a little worried.
"What? Why? What do you mean?" I ask her before we leave my room.
"Honey, he is so handsome!" She freaks out and I start to laugh so hard. Like, what the heck?
"Mum, he's mine." I warn her, still laughing.
"Calum or Ashton?" She smirks.
"Oh gosh, mum. He's waiting. Come on." I say and we start to make our way to the living room.
I feel like freaking out when I see him.
He doesn't look so grand. He actually looks just like him. He's wearing a red flannel and beneath it is a white band shirt I barely recognize, and just a plain black pants and black vans. But man, I swear, he looks so perfect standing there.
I notice him smile when he sees me, I assume. I smile back. The problem is it's a nervous smile from me. I try to calm myself as I walk towards him. I don't want to look like I am so into him even though we all know that I am.
"Good evening, Judith." He greets, not leaving the smile on his face. His dimple, though. Oh goodness, somebody hold me before I kiss this guy in front of my own mum who even is crushing on this beautiful human being that I am going on a date with. But who wouldnt like him? I think, even my grandma would have a crush on him too.
"Good evening. Kinda early, aye?" I tease him because it's actually past 7:00pm now. I try not to grin, because I swear, I'm having so much feels. I wonder if he's nervous as I am but he doesn't look like he is.
"He actually got here, like, half hour ago, honey. I wanted to call you but he said it's better to give you time. He didn't want you to hurry." My mum interrupts, smiling. And Ashton, smiling too. While I'm just like, "I see." when deep inside, I'm like "Fck me, Ashton Irwin. Why are you so sweet?"
