Snap back to the present and Stryker was sitting by the lake. His hands clenched into fists but colour slowly returning to his face. I sighed for about the 100th time since I woke up and gently took his hand in mine, before speaking in a hushed tone.
"Come on Stryker, let's go back to the castle, I think they have started the feast."
"I don't want to go back just yet." He whispered.
I opened my mouth to protest that we needed to eat and here the announcements, then, before any sound came out, I thought of the other people and teachers. We would have to go back and face them eventually, but not just yet.
"Ok, then." I sighed, before relaxing my body against Stryker.
For a few moments just sat there, watching the stars reflected perfectly in the inky, black lake. Every now and then a giant tentacle waved at us. Hours later the tentacle rose out of the lake and splashed us with icy cold water. I shrieked with shock but eventually settled down, soaking wet but comfortable. Not moments later, Stryker started to shiver. I stood up and faced toward the lights of the castle. Stryker pulled my sleeve and spoke.
"Not just yet."
"Stryker, come on, it's freezing out here! Your soaking wet and you're probably going to get sick."
"Please Lily, not just yet, a few minutes longer."
I sat back down, pursuing my lips together and muttering "you're going to have to face them eventually.
We sat there for a while longer, in silence, just enjoy each other's company. Until I started to shiver.
"That's it! Stryker, you can stay here but I'm going in! It's like -100 degrees out here!" I hissed.
Then right on cue, I shivered. Stryker looked up at me with alarm on his face.
"Lily! Your soaking! You must be freezing! You could get sick! What are we still out here for?! Come on let's get you warm!" He yelled jumping up and running towards the castle.
"What? What the heck do you think I was trying to say? Oh, it's nice and warm out here, let's stay forever? Geez" I replied.
He stopped running just before he reached the doors and called for me to follow.
"Dork." I sniggered, smiling.
I quickly walk toward the doors after him and when I reached then they automatically opened to show an abandoned hall.
