(Picture not related, just funny)
When we reached the portrait of the Fat Lady, she was crying and had a glass of sherry in her hand. She saw us coming and burst into tears again.
"I could never have imagined it! I was cruel and mean and unjust to a Gryffindor! I didn't even let him say anything! I just kept hurling abuse at him! I'm so sorry! Poor child, he must get it all the time with a background like his! And now there's a Slytherin here, and I can't even say anything!"
Matt glanced sideways at me, unsure, but I was bleeding too much to be of any help.
"Um, are you talking about Stryker?" Matt asked.
The Fat Lady nodded, tears running down her face.
"Well this is my good friend Lily, her fathers Harry Potter and she's good friends with Stryker as well. But she's been hurt and we need Stykers' help, if you don't want her going in I can just get him and bring him here." Matt said
The Fat Lady looked down at me and the blood that was now dripping on the flood, my head was starting to roll back and she seemed to notice I was hovering.
"Oh heavens! Yes yes, my dear go in!" She streaked, now white-faced, opening the door.
Matt went in first, climbing through the hole and arriving in the common room. He went around the corner and The Fat Lady cleared her throat. Matt came back around the corner.
"Riiiiiight."
He pointed his wand at me and, still unconscious, I floated through the portrait hole, my legs hitting the wall.
"Oh dear, whos going to clean all this up?" The Fat Lady wondered out loud, as we disappeared around the corner again.
"Esperanto," called half heartily, waving his wand at the trail of blood.
All the blood on the floor disappeared, but more was dripping down my clothes.
Matt ran up the stairs and threw open the door, on it, the label read Stryker, Matt, Peter and Adrian. The room was empty of people, no one was in it, not even Stryker.
"This isn't right!" He yelled, examining the map, "He is supposed to be right here! This stupid thing must be broken!"
He ran back out of the room, throwing the map on Strykers bed. I tried to tell him about the case but I couldn't. From there on everything else was a blur.
~~~~~~~~~~Matts POV🐾~~~~~~~
My heart was pounding out of my chest, I loved Lily, she was my favourite cousin, and right now I hated Stryker for not being there for her, I even hated my Uncle for inventing those chews, but most of all I hated myself for not being able to protect her better. I should know more spells, I should know how to restore blood and I should have carried the purple end of her chews. I was done relying on someone who couldn't even show up to class to check on her, he didn't know how lucky he was. I ran across the now packed corridors, and down the stairs, screw what other people thought. I ran until I reached the hospital wing. Lily was still bleeding, badly, her shirt and robes and skirt were now soaked in blood. The warden's eyes grew wide and her face slightly pale, she took my wand and lay Lily down in a bed.
"Stryker Malfoy!" I gasped before sinking to the floor and blacking out from the sight of Lily covered in blood.
~~~~~~~~~Strykers POV🐾~~~~~~~
I was still reading about the rules of Hogwarts in relation to Lily's case, my wand vibrated and I picked it up, giving it a slight tap on the wall. A thin wisp of smoke came out of the tip and formed words against the wall.
'Stryker Malfoy to the hospital ward please."
Curious but not alarmed, I put my book down and headed for the ladder up to my shared room. I paused when I reached the bed, seeing Lily's map on the bed, there was blood on it. I looked for the dot labelled Lily, she was in the hospital ward with Matt.
"Don't panic, Matt probably just got hurt like he usually does at home and Lily took him to the ward right?" But even as I said this my heart was beating out of my chest.
Abandoning both my cloak and the map I ran out of my room and I didn't stop until I reached the hospital ward.
Running in the first thing a saw was Matt lying in a bed, his eyes closed and unconscious. Feeling a bit guilty, I silently thanked Merlin that it was Matt lying in that bed. Looking around I saw Lily sitting in a chair, her back towards me. I approached her, talking to her.
"Oh hi Lily, I'm so glad you are not hurt! I actually thought it was you but it's not... Anyway, I've been reading and I think you should register...." I reached her I stopped talking midsentence.
She was being quiet, she's never quiet. Now I was panicking, my eyes dropped to the floor under the chair, it was covered in blood.
"Oh my god! Lily! No!" I ran to the front of her and I saw something that made my world stop turning. There was blood running down her nose, her top, skirt and robes were soaked red and her face was pale. The warden came up to me and spoke.
"Styker Malfoy I presume. I'm sorry but I can't find anything to stop the bleeding, apparently, she's been like this for two hours now, all I can do is keep putting blood in her. I've already sent an owl to her mother and father, they should aprate here any minute now."
I was in shock, what could have done this? Then I remembered something, it was a shot in the dark but it was worth it. I reached into my robe pocket, only to remember that I had left it in my dorm room. I ran faster then I had ever run before, all the way to the Fat Lady.
I ignored her apologies and jumped straight through the hole, ran into my dorm, snatched the coat and ran all the way to the hospital wing.
Out of breath and gasping for air I unwrapped the purple side of a nosebleed nougat. I put it in her mouth and rubbed her throat, making her swallow. Straight away the bleeding stopped. I called over the warden.
"Ah, it's stopped, has it? Good, it'll take a while for her to come to thought, maybe a few days? I don't know, I'll make sure she's fine. Her friend that brought her here is awake now, had a nasty shock poor thing. Whenever you're ready you should get to class, it'll be about 3rd class now, I'll take care of her." She said.
I had no intentions of going to class, instead, I headed back towards the first bed. There I saw Matt. My blood boiled.
"You stupid mountain troll!! You knew I had the antidotes!! Why didn't you bring her to me! I could have looked after her! Instead, you bring her here! Your stupid uncle made these! You know how they work! You know there was no way anyone else could have saved her!" I yelled, seeing red.
"I tried! I followed the map! I went into your room but it was empty! If anything this is your fault for skipping class! You were supposed to be there for her!" He screamed right back.
I clenched my fists and was just about to punch him before I heard a loud crack. I lowered my fists, I knew who it was before I even looked up. I knew I was in trouble.
