(a/n) this is inspired by kiddo-kun's book "soul x kid masked" so their might be a lot of references from it. I've got nothing else to say, enjoy the one-shot!
In class 1-A:
all the students were excited for the masquerade dance later that night. They were all talking about the suits and dresses they bought, when they finally thought about something....where is midoriya? Ururaka was on her phone texting deku with mina, lida and others waiting for the explanation as to why the timid broccoli head wasn't there.
Ururaka's phone
Ururaka: where are you deku-kun?
Deku: I'm at home, I told aizawa-sensei that I won't be coming to class today
Ururaka: oh okay, are you coming to the dance tonight? You might meet someone
Deku: no sorry. I just don't feel like finding love right now
End of texting conversation
" so is midoriya-san coming to the dance?" lida asked concerned but still doing his robot hand waves. Ururaka shook her head," no. he said he doesn't want to go, he's probably upset that he doesn't have someone." mina tilted her head," what do you mean 'doesn't have someone'?, he's friends with everyone here." Ururaka puffed out her cheeks, knowing that mina knew exactly what she meant. Mina laughed at ururaka's face," im kidding! but that is true, I mean kaminari and Jirou are dating now" then hagakure spoke up" yeah even bakugo got a lover." bakugo heard his name," WHAT DID YOU SAY ABOUT ME AIRBITCH!" bakugo yelled from the other side of the classroom. Ururaka ignored bakugo's usual screaming, all she could do was look down at her phone with a pained expression thinking about her friend who is probably really upset right now.
"I hope deku-kun is okay, he really does deserve someone special in his life" Ururaka thought
in midoriya's room:
deku's POV
I stared at my phone, as im laying on my bed hugging a pillow "should I really go to the dance? its not like im gonna find anyone and I don't exactly want to third wheel with any of my friends either" I mumbled into the pillow. I heard a knock on the door," izuku are you alright?" mom asked from the other side of the door. I sat up and yelled back," yeah im okay";mom opened the door and peeked in "okay well im going out for a while with mitskui-san, I wont be back till later tonight. will you be alright staying home by yourself?" she asked with a concerned expression. I nodded, " ill be okay mom really. go have fun." mom smiled at me and shut the door behind her.
I pushed myself up in a seated position as I looked down at my phone again.............that's when i made my decision.
back in the classroom:
Todoroki's POV
Im sitting at my desk, with my chin resting on my hand as im listening to all my classmates conversations without adding a single word. I heard them speak about midoriya as yaoyorozu came up to me with a light blush on her face," Todoroki? can I ask you something?" She asked nervously. I hummed as an answer then she continued," w-would you like to go to the d-dance with m-me?" she stuttered out.
I looked at her and answered," I'm sorry yaoyorozu but I already have someone going with me to the dance." She looked at me a bit disappointed but her clenched hands told a different story, saying that she was more than disappointed more like irratated then she walked away from my desk and joined the others. Honestly I was lying, I don't have anyone special in my life. Let alone someone to take to the dance, although there is someone I would love to go with but it would be inpossible........they're not even here right now.
(A/n) boom! Cliff hanger-sorta. I've been working on this for a while but I'm glad that I could finish it! I'm hoping to only make this 2 parts like how the klance one-shot was supposed to be but who knows!
