(A/N) this is one of FlamePhoenixGaming headcannons that I couldn't help but write a oneshot for XD also this is was for our king kichi's birthday, so happy belated birthday kokichi!
Shuichi's POV:
do I love ouma-kun? yes, yes I do. but this.... makes me question why in the love of Auta did I choose him.
we were having a peaceful walk around the park, my idea since I owed kichi a date after I took a 2 week case in Shinjuku. he became all pouty with me afterwards so here we are. We'd basically strolled through the entire park before we took a break on a bench that overlooked the lake. It was a pretty nice day out but it wasnt the best choice of mine to wear dark colored clothes. Kokichi must've noticed that I was a bit overheated because he sprung onto his feet not a moment later "I'm gonna go get a snack from the nearby vending machines, want something shushu?" He asked, tilting his head to the side in a adorable manner.
"Uh I guess a tea would be fine" I replied. He nodded and skipped off to the vending machines, presumably with my wallet that he managed to snatch while I wasnt looking. He had that habit along with grabbing and wearing my hat, like he did today.
I just brushed it off and looked out onto the pond, there was some ducks swimming along and every now and than i'd see what looked to be either the head of a turtle or a stick. Which flipped my detective switch into thinking mode, investigating from afar. As some time passed, I figured out that it was the head of a turtle since it swam closer. It was cute. Than I realize that kokichi hadn't come back in a while, at first I thought of the worst. Maybe he was kidnapped or something, when your a detective and see cases all day you get a bit paranoid. I stood up from the bench and made my way to the vending machine area by on the other side of a small shop, there was alot of clanking noises coming from there.
In confusion I turned the corner to see what on auta's name could be making that sound but low and behold. It was my boyfriend. Somehow, he managed to cling onto the side of the vending machine lika cat who got their nails stuck in a blanket and was physically shaking it. With further inspection I noticed a bag of chips stuck on one of the rows, a panta and green tea left sitting on the floor abandoned. I......just couldnt help but sigh and facepalm. Amami-kun had told me a story about kokichi doing this once before we met but I didnt believe it, honestly I should've. What hasn't this man done.
Some people had started gathering to see what was going on, some laughing while others looked concerned.
In embarrassment I walked over and started pulling kokichi off but he was gripped on tight. "Kokichi enough! I'll buy you chips at a convenience store just let go!" I pleaded, struggling to yank this grape off the machine. "Dont stop me shumai! I will show no mercy! It stole money and didnt give me my damn chips!" He shouted, rattling the machine some more in an attempt to get the chips. They still didnt fall.
Eventually I managed to pull him of the machine but he was still flailing in my arms going on about "give me my damn chips!" Or "let me at'em!" I picked up the drinks in one arm while kokichi was in the other and started walking straight out of the park before people would start calling the cops about a public disturbance.
That's definitely something I would want to explain to kirigiri-San and the others.
Eventually I placed kokichi down so he can walk and handed him his panta, he was pouting with his cheeks puffed out in a cute way. I mean hes always cute but still. Once we got to a nearby convenience I bought him a bag of chips, he ate them but was still pouting and huffing about the machine. Though a kiss on the cheek managed to calm him down enough to enjoy the rest of our day together.
Note to self: never leave kokichi alone with a vending machine
