Having an argument with Steve
"It was risky." Steve said as the quinjet landed, you rolled your eyes. You know the risks of the mission and you weren't gonna let the leader die.The mission the two of you were sent on was breaking into a HYDRA facility, gain intel and report back to SHIELD but they must of been informed we were on our way. There was a lot of guns going off in the battle and you ended up getting shot in the shoulder, jumping in front of a bullet that would of most defiantly hit Steve in the chest.
"I know." You mumble back to Steve who was tending to your wound, he press his fingers gently against the bandage and turned to you with his sweet blue eyes.
"Too tight?" He asks, you shake your no and pull your singlet strap back over your shoulder.
"Thanks, Rogers." You say with a smile and you push yourself off the medical table as the quintets doors open.
"You shouldn't of jumped in so blindly." Steve mumbled, you turned to him with a raise brow, isn't this Mr. 'jump in head first' Rogers you were talking to?
"I knew the risks, Steve." Steve looks to the floor and sighed.
"You don't get it."
"Yeah, please elaborate." You say as your cross your arms, ignoring the pain in your shoulder.
"You couldn't of gotten hit in the chest, or worse. You didn't need to take the bullet."
"This is the strangest 'thank you' I've ever heard." You say with a glare.
"Thank you, But you shouldn't of done it." You roll your eyes and lean down, grabbing your duffel bag that held your weapons you turns to Steve and held up your hand to salut him.
"I'll remember that next time, Captain." Steve knew by your words that your bond Steve spent months on making had ended. To you, he was no longer your friend he was your mission leader, he was captain America and nothing else to you.
How dare he ramble on about you not needing him to safe his life. You stormed out of the quintet and threw your duffel bag at the lockers, knowing Steve could hear the loud crash you made and stormed into the gym.
You were so angry that he couldn't even be thankful that you literally took a bullet for him, you knew for a fact Steve didn't see the bullet coming and yet he staying he had it under control. Ha! Not only was captain America was gods righteous man, he was also an idiot.
You stormed into the gym, not even bothering to say hello to Natasha or Bucky in the gym, you were so angry that he couldn't find the balls to thank a woman for doing that, he would of most certainly thanked Natasha, Wanda and even Sharron, but with you he treated you like a child!
You walked over to the corner of the room and put on your boxing gloves, knowing it would be stupid to box with your injury you continued to tighten the boxing gloves. Since apparently you're a 'jump in head first' kinda gal you didn't think of the risks of hitting the boxing bag.
"Y/N?" You looked up and saw Bucky walking towards you, you sigh not wanting another lecture from another 100 year old man.
"What?" You ask sounding harsher than you planned. You looked back down to your hands and tightened the straps.
"Something happen?" He asked as he walked over and sat on yoga mat on the floor. Bucky was by far your closest friend on the team, you both like your space and found friendships hard to make so your relationship with him blossomed naturally.
"Your asshole of a friend can't even thank someone for saying his sorry ass." You grunt back and turn to the boxing bag.
"You shouldn't be fighting." Bucky says with crossed arms, noticing the bandage around your shoulder causing you to roll your eyes and raise your arm to hit the boxing bag. "You also shouldn't be this mad." This caught you off guard, you tense and drop your arms to your side and turn to him with a raised brow.
"What's that suppose to mean?" You ask.
"You deal with assholes everyday, Y/N." He give you a pointed look. "Why are you reacting so much if you've dealt with worse people?"
You found yourself looking away from Bucky and to the roof, as if it have the answer written up there.
Why were you reacting so badly? Steve shouldn't— doesn't mean anything to you. But then again he has made you smile and laugh more than you ever had, he'd always check on you when your hid yourself in your room for a few days and occasionally he'd leave coffee on your bedside table."Shit." You curse to yourself, Bucky chuckled at your final realisation of your crush, even he saw it. You and Steve were always flirting on missions and during training. Let's be real, Bucky shipped the shit outta you two.
"You like him don't ya?" Bucky asked with his rare smile.
"Piss off, Barnes."

After two days of ignoring Steve you were finally in a situation where your physically couldn't escape. Steve wore his stealth suit, it looked amazing on him and of course he was ignoring you two. But now the both of you had to work together to get out of the panic room you were trapped in.
"Who woulda though that an arms dealer would have a panic room?" You ask sarcastically causing a grunt of disapproval to come from Steve.
"See any cameras? Maybe the wires will help us find the main circuit." Steve said in a professional manner, you rolled your eyes. You were hoping that ignoring him for the past week would make your feelings for him disappear but Bucky informed you that's not how things work. Sadly.
"Roger that captain." Steve sighed, again with the nickname? He though you would of gotten over it by now.
"Bingo." Steve's head looked over to you, he saw you standing on the control desk and saw you grabbing the camera hidden behind the clock.
"Good job." Steve said, causing you to roll your eyes again.
"Thanks, Captain."
"Enough." You stopped looking at the camera and looked to him with a raise brow.
"Something wrong, Captain?" You asked testing his patience.
"Stop calling me that." Steve glares at you, you returned the glare gladly and jumped off the desk crossing your arms and staring at Steve.
"Got a problem with it?" You took three steps towards him in a taunting matter. "Cap-"
You were cut off by feeling soft lips clash against yours, Steve's arms wrapped around your waist and held you there as your hands began to slide up his built arms. You pull away from the kiss and stare at him with confusion written all over your face.
"That was one hell of a way to shut me up."
