"Peter?" The girl took a step forward her hands coming up to touch his face but stopping mere inches away from him as her mind raced back to their conversation.
"I guess we both kept secrets." Peter said softly.
"Yeah." The girl said as she took a step back and awkwardly stuffed her hands into her pockets.
"You're really her?"Peter asked amazement evident in his voice. The girl nodded her head and felt her face flush with embarrassment at all the times in the mask when they flirted with each other.
"Yeah." The girl spoke softly again.
"I'm sorry about today."
"I'm sorry about today." The both spoke at the same time making the tension ease away slightly.
"I shouldn't of said anything." Peter shook his head.
"No y/n don't be." Peter said, the girl shook her head again and lifted her hand up to cover peters mouth, knowing if she didn't he would of started speaking and she'd never get a word in.
"No, I'm sorry for the way I reacted. I'm happy that you told me upfront about it and I hope that we can still remain friends." Peter shook his head with a laugh, making Y/N heart drop.
Oh no he was going to laugh in her face.
"It was you." Peter spoke softly and began repeating it over and over as he slowly cupped Y/N's face.
"Peter I'm s—" "please stop talking." The girl furrows her eyebrows as peters eyes slowly met hers.
"You're her." Y/N tilts her head at him.. did he hit is head? Why is he repeating himself?
She opened my mouth to ask him if he was okay but peter smiled and pull her in for a gentle kiss.
"You're the girl that I liked." Again the girl tilted her head.
"Huh?"
"The superhero you! I liked her— you without even realising it!"
