Looking down to your outfit you nibble on your lip anxiously, was it too much? Sighing as your eyes drifted up to the mirror in your room, you took in the dress, a simple knee length red dress. You couldn't believe you were reconsidering your outfit choices over Eddie. You did have to admit, he was extremely attractive but you had never seen him as anything other than a competitor for years.

Rolling your eyes and huffing out in annoyance over your nervousness you quickly grab your purse. Pulling out your phone, you check the time, your eyes widening at how late you are.

"Shit!"

*

Luckily for you when you arrived at the restaurant, it seemed eddie was also running late. Quickly catching your breathe and straightening your jacket out, you walked over to the tablet beside the bar, knowing if you were going to spend the whole night and trying to be polite to the man you spend so long to be better than you had to have a drink.

Placing you bag by your side and quickly ordering a drink you sit there patiently and wait for Eddie to arrive.

But he never did. Sitting there and looking down to your phone you look at the time and sigh. Almost 1 am, looking down the the full drink on your table, you shrug and take the whole drink as if it was a shot. Shaking your head and placing the money on the table, you slowly stumble your way back home.

"Heyyyy Eddie." You slur into your phone as you bump into your doorway to your apartment and slam the door shut. "Remember me?" You ask as you kick off your heels and drop your jacket onto the floor.

"I know it's." Quickly glancing over to your clock, you squinted your eyes to see the time. "2 am but I'm just gonna leave a message. You stood me up." You began pacing back and forth in your living room. "After I was trying to be your friend? I know in the past we never really got along, but come on, man! Get over it!" You stumbled over to your kitchen and mindlessly ran your finger over the rim of a glass. " I'm sorry in the past I might of come across like a bitch, but you're the one that left me at a restaurant, which was very expensive, might I add and not even a single call or text to explain where the hell you are."

Sighing and sliding down to the floor with a pout in your lips you laid down on your back and looked up to the white roof of your apartment, feeling you head start spinning. "That's all I wanted to say, so in conclusion, you're a dick. Thanks for listening, this has been the Eddie Brock report." You giggle to yourself and end the call.

Groaning as you feel the sun shine through a small gap in your curtains, you rolling over and place your arm over your eyes. Hangovers were a bitch.

Knock knock.

Groaning loudly, you roll out of your bed and stumble your way to the front door, not even bothering to look through the peep hole, you open it and feel yourself immediately sober up.

"Eddie." The words fell from your lips in a soft gasp, Eddie stood their, himself not looking much better, his hoodie he wore was covered in sweat and he looked like he hadn't slept in days. "Well aren't we two attractive kids." You mumble trying to lighten the mood. It worked, a soft chuckle escaped from eddies mouth.

"C.. can I come in?" He asked with a slight stutter, you nodded your head and opened the door wider for him to enter and walk into your kitchen.

"Coffee?" You offer, he shakes his head no and you nod as you walk over to the coffee machine and turn it on for your own cup.

"I got your voice mail. I'm sorry about last night.. something came up and I should of called." You felt your cheeks heat up in embarrassment.

"Eddie it's fine, last night I was drunk, it was stupid of me to call you and act like a child about it." You say as you turn to face him and cross your arms over your chest and avoid eye contact.

"You didn't, Ive just.. just being going through something and I can't be seen with anyone close to me right now." He muttered as he fiddled with his hands mindlessly and you saw his face beginning to pale, as if he was about to pass out.

"Eddie are you okay?" You ask as you begin to walk towards him, he immediately pushed himself away from you and starts pacing back and forth in the hallway.

"No! You don't understand.. I-I-I have this thing that I can't tell you because you'll think I'm crazy." He mumbled lowly as if speaking to himself.

"Eddie." You say and lift your hand to touch his shoulder only for him to flinch back and start retracting towards your apartment door.

"No. I'm sorry I shouldn't.. I shouldn't of come." Eddie says.

"Eddie-" He reaches up and before you can say a word he grabs the door handle, swinging it open and racing down the hallway.

"Wait."
