CHAPTER 8

It's a very warm morning as Layla woke me up with breakfast in bed. I took a quick shower and did the goods. When I got downstairs everyone was already done, just ready to leave. I also left. When I stopped by the parking lot,I checked my phone and there was nothing. School went well as Emily wasn't at school even today but Angelica said she was fine,maybe the following day she was going to be back. It was after school when Leroy, Angelica and Sammy decided to check up on Emily. We got to her house and she looked a bit okay but you could see she was in pain. We drove to school to fetch my car as Leroy drove them. We left his and used mine back home with them. I got in after them as I received lot's messages after I borrowed Sammy my phone,but didn't check them.

"Surprise!." People shouted when I got in as Layla came with a cake forward. I even forgot that it was my birthday. I couldn't help but to cry. I was spoiled the whole day as there were few people but still I enjoyed.
Sammy suggested that we teenagers drive to the beach whilst the elders are fixing up the next meal. When we got to the beach another 'Surprise!' was arranged. I saw Liam coming with a box.

"What's this?" I asked as he gave it to me.

"Open it."

It was a soccer top with his number and my name. I loved it. I gave him a tight hug. We danced until his mother called. "I have to go. But will call you before you sleep." He then kissed me as the kiss was long. We decided to just sit and wait for the time to leave.

"So sad that we are enjoying but the birthday girl isn't." I turned to look,it was Bear.

"Bear!"

"That's me babe."

"Didn't know that so much people were called."

"Well Sammy's not used to few people maybe even at home she doesn't settle down."

I laughed"I guess."

He gave me a small bag. I opened it as there was a box written Gucci. It had a watch. I screamed to the top of my lungs. I gave him a hug. "It's nothing and I'm glad you like it. Gotta go." He then left. Presents kept on coming,vouchers, shoes,bags. Ryla came as I was walking alone by the beach.

"Like being alone?" He asked

"Could say  it helps me to think."

"If it was a Friday I would've gave you your present but its Wednesday."

"Friday is close though."  We sat down on the rocks as we chat more honestly that night.

"Do you believe in love at first sight?"

He laughed. "That was what my ex use to call our relationship."

"You didn't answer my question."

"No,I don't. Do you?"

"I would say yes."

"yes why?"

"I believe everyone falls in love with someone else when they start to see them."

"What about those who've known each other for months?"

"They fell in love at first but hid their feelings so it's still love at first sight."

"So you also hid your feelings from me?"

I choke on his question. "No. I'm with Liam."

"Are you with him cause you want to be with him or you've got to be with him?"

"What are you trying to say,that maybe I made a bet?"

"Don't know."

"I knew that we won't finish an hour talking maturely cause you Ryla is dump." I wiped my ass as I walked away.
