It must be a misunderstanding

I wake up,the nurse take me to go and breastfeed.

"You haven't been breastfeeding your babies." She say as we walk down the passage.

"Babies?"

"Yes. When the doctors were losing you,you kept on pushing while you were unconscious. Incredible. You saved your baby girl. She is very small and still have one lung as the other is still developing."

"I have two babies? I lost the other one when I had lot of bleeding."

"You almost lost her for real." She then open the door to the room full of machine and small transparent thing.

A very tiny baby in it. She looks fragile. Like if I shake this thing she will break. If I scream she will die. If I am too worried she will vanish.

"You can put your hands through the gloves to hold her. Two drops of milk through the pipe will be enough for her."

I put my hands in the gloves to hold her. I hold back my tears.
"You look so beautiful. You're strong and a surviver like your grandmother. We will pass through this together. I saved you the last time and I'll save you again. I love you."

"That's so sweet. You can now feed her so that we can go to her brother."

I pour two drops of milk from my breast. She looked at her then closed the pipe. We walked out of the room down to the third door. Few women are in breastfeeding their children. I looked at my healthy crying baby boy. He looked exactly like Ryla. Not even a single thing I could point out to be similar to mine. I held him up.

"You have to hold his head as well." She said. I'm new in this so I do need some advice.

I sit and start breastfeeding him.
"You can always come here or have him in your room. The only one you'll have to visit is the girl."

"Thank you."

At least I'll sleep peacefully.
