They stop in their track.
"Are we allowed to visit other kids?"
Ryla ask.
"Liam meet Star. Star meet Liam." Liam smile and look at me.
"Who is her mother. This must be sad." He said with some worry in his eyes.
"You can hold her. I'm her mother." They both look at me.
"You know you can be arrested for taking care of other kids. Well stealing them." Liam say.
"She is my Star. Our Star." I say.
He wear the glove and I wear the other. We hold her.
"Come hold her Ryla."
"No she looks too small. I might break her."
"You won't. You will never."
He walks close then put his hand on the glove and held her too.
"She is having one lung. That's my first born child,the one who made me bleed and made doctors believe she passed away. She only have one lung."
Liam looks at me.
"What?"
"The other one is still developing. It will all need patience and time." I say.
"Is it possible to have two kids from different parents?"
"The doctor said yes."
"Are you sure?"
"You can ask him yourselves when he goes to my room in..." I look at my wrist watch. "Two minutes."
We walk back to my room and we chat.
The doctor walks in to check if we're okay.
"Uhm doctor. Is it possible to have twins with different DNA?"
He smile.
"Yes. Twins with different DNA are called fraternal twins. Normally, only one egg is released from one ovary in a menstrual cycle. The usual type of twinning occurs when this one fertilised egg divides into two and both then develop separately. Sometimes, two eggs may be released at the same time from the ovaries. Both these eggs will have different DNA. When these two eggs are fertilised by different sperms, you get twins with different DNA."
"Oh wow. Okay thank you."
"So you're both dads." I say.
