YOU GOT MY HEART

Lori's POV

I turned around and saw his gang chasing me. Once the coast was clear, I ended up at the park. Good lord did I make it. I sat on the monkey bars and just stood there looking up at the stars. They were clear but not as clear when Pony's here.

After 30 minutes alone, I thought I should go home. I'm pretty sure the Soc was still going after me. But as I was going to jump down, I felt shuffling behind. So I closed my eyes tight, hoping it wasn't the Soc. Once I opened them, Pony was right there beside me. I breathed out heavily.
"What you doin here?"
Pony sighed.
"Lori, I'm so sorry. I really am. Cherry was there and I couldn't-"
"Ponyboy it's okay. I was heading home anyways."
Before I got down, he grabbed my arm.
"No it's not okay. I know your not okay. I was hoping to go out with you, as a d-date."
I thought I gasped but I guess I must've done some weird noise.
"A date?"
He nodded.
I was going to say something afterwards, but the sound of an engine cut me off. I cursed under my breath, knowing it was that Soc.
"Ey, look who I found. What's the matter? My flirting skills aren't good? Is that the guy who's winging you over?"
Pony turned to me and frowned. I mouthed 'run'. We started to run, but I was too far from Pony. Why can't I be fast?
"Lori run!"
I tried running like a bull dog, but couldn't make it close to Pony. He stopped and I gave him a look. Why will he stop running. Then out of nowhere he picked me, put me over his shoulder and ran like never before. I smiled. This was going well. I looked up and saw the Socs almost out of sight. I laughed and put up two nice middle fingers. After a few more minutes, more like hours, we stopped in front of my house. He placed me down gently, sighing.
"Well uh, that was something."
He shook his head and laughed. I laughed along.
"So we're good?"
I rubbed my chin and made a face.
"Yeah I guess we are."
"Good because I was waiting all day to do this."
He leaned in and started off with an innocent kiss, until we were passionately kissing. I smiled through the kiss almost squeaking out of excitement. We pulled apart, breathing fair but roughly.
"But I thought you liked Cherry."
He grinned and grabbed my face, pecking me on my lips.
"No. Your the only one with my heart Lori. It always has been you."
