TRIGGER WARNING- ABUSE 

It's been 4 years since I gave birth to my little girl.

She and I live with her abuses dad. We've been trying to get away for as long as she's been alive.

Colby and the boys at the trap house have no idea about what's going on. But Colby I feel as though has always been suspicious of him.

His name is Cameron, at first, he was a loving boyfriend how love me very much, but after having Vee, things changed, he began drinking and taking drugs, he stopped going to work and began to hurt me. However, he never touched Vee. But who's to say he won't eventually.

Tonight, started off like any other night.

I was cooking dinner for everyone. When the door slammed.

Vee looked at me with terrified eyes.

"It's okay baby" I said to Vee.

"Y/n!?" Cameron yelled

"In here" I said as politely as I could.

"What's for dinner?" he asked as he grabbed a beer from the fridge

"I wasn't sure what you fancied so I made us simple, chicken and bacon pasta" I said as I continued to cook.

"How long? I'm hungry" he said almost finishing his first beer

"Few more minutes" I said

"Better be done in the next 5 minutes or you'll know what's coming for you" he threatened

"Will you be joining us? Or do you want it in your room?" I asked. He kicked me out of my own bedroom and made me sleep on the sofa.

"My room" he said as he began walking up the stairs

"Okay" I said.

I plated up the food and carried it upstairs as quickly as I could.

I knocked on the door and waited for him to let me

"What?" he growled

"I have your food" I said

"Bout time" he said as he snatched the food "You are lucky, you only had a few more seconds. Now by the time I'm finished I want the kitchen cleaned" He ordered as he sat down on the bed. I didn't say anything I just nodded.

"Wait" he said

"Yes?"

"Come here" he told me. I slowly walked towards him already knowing what was about to happen. I closed my eyes and waited

And there it was

His hand collided with my face.

He never really had reason for hitting me

He had to do it every day

"Go" he told me as I walked out of the room.

This was the only chance I was going to get. I ran into Vee's room and packed a small bag of stuff she will need.

I then ran downstairs and took Vee

"Where are we going mummy?" she asked as I quietly exited the house

"See mummy's friends" I smiled down at her as I began running down the road. Vee only being able to keep up with me slightly

Just my luck it began to rain, but where I was going wasn't too far, but far enough that the rain got me soaked

As I got to the Trap House I buzzed at the gate.

"Hello?" the familiar voice asked

"Corey, it's me please I need your help." I said

"I'll get Colby" he said as he allowed me in.

There has always been something between Colby and I. But I was always too afraid to leave Cameron for him. But it's what I've always wanted to do.

"Y/n?" I heard Colby's voice as he opened the door

"I need your help" I cried

Vee stood behind me. Nervous of meeting new people, however Vee had met everyone before but only when she was very young.

"Come in" he said looking worried.

"Hey" I smiled as I looked at all the roommates.

"What's going on?" Elton asked

"Baby why don't you go play in the other room." I said to Vee.

"I'll take her" Aaron offered

"Thank you" I smiled

"Y/n?" Colby asked worriedly

"I'm sorry" I broke down.

"What?" Colby asked

"I've lied to all of you, for so long." I cried

"What about?" Sam asked

"Cameron, he's horrible, he drinks and takes drugs" I explained

"Does he hurt you?" Colby asked

I nodded

"Y/n, why didn't you say anything" he asked softly

"Because I didn't know how" I cried

"Tell me that bastard doesn't touch her" Corey asked. Talking about Vee"

"No, he never has, but I'm afraid he will." I explained

"I swear if I see him, I'm going to kill him." Colby said

"Dude" Corey said trying to calm him down

"No, he hurt her." Colby said

"Colby, can I talk to you in private please" I asked. Everyone nodded and walked away.

"Colby, I love you and I've wanted to be with you for so long but I haven't been able to leave Cameron, you actually care about me." I told him

"I love you, and I will never let him touch you again, you and Vee can live with us." Colby said

"Are you sure?" I asked

"Yeah, I'm so sure. I will look after Vee as if she was my own. I'll look after you girls like you are supposed to be looked after." He told me. I began to cry again

"Come here" Colby said as he hugged me and kissed my head

"Mummy?" I heard Vee

"Yes baby?" I asked

"Who is this?" she asked smiling at Colby

I thought for a moment, this could work, I could start things over. My life. With Colby

"Are you sure about this Colby?" I asked him.

He said nothing. He just crouched down to Vee's height

"I'm Colby, and I'm going to look after you and your mum, better than your dad" he smiled

"So, are you my new dad?" she asked

"Yeah, if you want me to be?" he asked Vee.

"Yes, I have a new daddy" she smiled

He then picked Vee up.

I smiled at them both and hugged them.

"I love you" I said again

"I love you too" he said back.

"How about we go and get some rest, yeah?" Colby suggested

"Sounds good." I smiled.
