"class," the teacher spoke and waited for everyone to look up, "i-i have terrible news to share today. last night we lost a beautiful girl named Song Ara due to an accident that took her life." the teacher spoke carefully.
she didn't stop the two girls who dismissed themselves as they began to sob uncontrollably.
Taehyung froze in his seat. Ara? the same ara at the party last night. it was crazy, he had just seen her and didn't know that his last words to her were indirectly spoken. he would have at least said something if he knew that it would be his last time speaking to her.
they weren't close so it didn't hurt him but it felt strange, like he could've done something.
Jungkook clicked his tongue once again then chuckled. "what a waste of a pretty face."
the tone of his voice was dark and Taehyung felt himself shiver. in that moment he knew Jungkook's eyes were on him. but he didn't dare to look in his direction.
;
lunch came rather quick, which Taehyung anticipated all day. he needed Jimin to give him more information on Ara.
"hey." Taehyung said as he sat down at the table.
Jimin was clearly shaken up as he mumbled back a gentle, "hey."
"you already know what i wanna know." the table was absent of Hoseok who felt his presence was unwanted today and ate with hyunwoo instead.
"dude, shits crazy." Jimin said with wide eyes, "the girlfriend of the guy who owns the house.... she says that it was a murder. everyone who was there was taken into questioning."
"no fucking way!"
"and listen." Jimin lowered his, "she was stabbed over 60 times.."
"60! as in six and zero!"
"yes but get this." Jimin was in serious information mode, "they were all over. most of them on her face- no one was even able to identify her til they ran her fingerprints in the system."
"holy hell." Taehyung whisper shouted. "what else did you hear?"
"they don't have a lead suspect either. so many people were there and they don't remember if she left with someone or what. must suck, they sectioned off that whole area of his house."
"she was murdered in the house!"
"yes bro, the parents bedroom."
lunched ended and the pair exchanged ideas on who could have done it and how. Taehyung and jimin parted ways and Taehyung headed outside to chemistry since they were said to meet there today. as he walked down the halls he locked eyes with jungkook who flashed him a bunny smile and said, "hi hyung."
"hi Jungko-" what a waste of a pretty face.
no fucking way. the realization smacked Taehyung like a brick being carried through a tidal wave. he had to tell Jimin. he ran to the bathroom, deciding to ditch chemistry, and grabbed his phone from his book bag. he dialed Jimin's number and on the third ring, he felt his phone fly from his hand.
"hyung i think you know something you aren't supposed to." Jungkook shook his head in disappointment, "planning to share?" Jungkook walked to the phone and powered it off completely.
Taehyung froze as he stared at the younger boy who suddenly gave off an alpha vibe, "n-no."
"you've been caught, why lie?" Jungkook smiled and walked over to Taehyung. he lifted his chin and inched so close that Taehyung could feel his breath on his lips, "let's keep this secret between us, yeah baby boy?"
Taehyung nodded quickly and felt his eyes water in fear.
"awe, don't cry. i ain't gonna hurt you," Jungkook walked to the door and paused for a moment. "well not yet."
;
Taehyung ran home as quickly as he could, leaving school unexcused and straight to his room. his legs gave out and he sat on the floor, shaking.
Jungkook killed ara.
he didn't just kill her.
he stabbed her 60 times.
"of fuck," Taehyung held his mouth as he felt the urge to throw up. he sent ara off with that psycho. Jungkook turned her down but Taehyung pushed Jungkook to go with her. he sent ara to her death. he paired up ara and the devil and now he was next.
with that thought in mind he emptied his breakfast on the floor.
should he tell the police. but it's only an assumption. well Jungkook practically admitted to it- but if they didn't or couldn't find him guilty then Taehyung was surely dying soon.
he couldn't tell Jimin. how could he risk jimin's life like that? he could never.
he couldn't tell his mother. no way in hell.
or Hoseok since the pair weren't as close.
he couldn't tell anyone.
this was truly a secret between him and Jungkook.
