"too slow." Jungkook smiles brightly as he holds the knife up against Taehyung's neck.

the younger let's out a frustrated groan and flops down into the dead leaves that crunch under his weight. it's fairly cold and his position made his pants rise, exposing his ankles and sending a shiver up his legs.

he stared up at the blue sky until an eye crescent smile and bunny teeth came into view, making him smile as well, his heart picking up its pace.

"why are we still doing this?" Taehyung asked

"cos," Jungkook holds out his hand to help Taehyung up, "what if i can't protect you, i want- no, i need to know you can protect yourself."

Jungkook hands Taehyung his knife and gets in his stance. he takes a few steps back, "now, let's start again."

Taehyung nods and takes a deep breath.

"one." he turns around and takes a few steps, Jungkook doing the same.

"two." his voice is noticeably farther than before.

"three."

Taehyung turns around and Jungkook is gone, and before he knows it, he finds himself bolting in the opposite direction.

this was game Jungkook liked to play. the one that left every nerve in your body on end. he was supposed to be chasing you, but he was never to be found until it was too late. it was exhilarating yet exhausting. but the feeling coursing through Taehyung was purely ecstatic.

he stumbled over his feet but smiled as he pulled himself up and continued to run, and soon enough he was on the outskirts of the forest, near the car.

he could run back into the forest, but he didn't know where Jungkook was, that was pure suicide. he felt for his pocket, the keys rattling as he did so. he grabbed his phone and sent Jungkook a text.

Taehyung
what are my limits?

Jungkook
how ever far you can get with all you've got on you.

Taehyung smiled and grabbed the keys before unlocking the car door, he started the car, ready to drive away when a gun pressed against his head, followed by a gentle chuckle. "bang, bye bye baby boy,"

Taehyung looked into the mirror which revealed a seemingly pissed off Jungkook.
"you're to predictable."

"fuck you." Taehyung hit the sterling wheel and pouted. Jungkook climbed over the seat and sat in the passenger side. "how did you even know i was here?"

"i didn't per say. i ran here on three, but i knew you would come."

"what if i didn't! what if i stayed in the forest hiding from you."

"i would have found you." Jungkook said in a matter of fact tone, "i would find you no matter where you went or who was with you, don't ever think you could hide from me."

"that's not what i-" Taehyung sighed, knowing not to argue with Jungkook's protective side. if that even was a protective side. "how did you know i would come to the car though?"

"when you're running from someone you want to get as far as possible as fast as possible. the fastest thing here is my car, yeah?"

Taehyung just pouted even more and switched seats with Jungkook so he could drive them back to his apartment. once they pulled up, jungkook grabbed Taehyung hand and stared at him for a moment.

"what's wrong?"

Jungkook seemed to be out of it and for the first time he seemed genuinely worried. "red, blue, black, black, grey, white."

"what."

"that's the color of every car in this lot that belongs to a person who lives in the the building. look to your right."

Taehyung glances to his right and sees a gold van with tented windows, fitted for a whole soccer team. "someone probably has family over." Taehyung chuckles to lighten the atmosphere. he fidgets with his hair a bit but his smile doesn't falter.

"no way, i memorized everyone's family and extended family and their cars- something, it's doesn't feel right." Jungkook reaches for the keys to start the car but Taehyung stops him and kisses him gently.

Taehyung never kissed him first.

"Jungkook, it's okay." Taehyung seemed to be pleading for them to go inside.

Jungkook exhaled slightly and puts the keys in his pocket.

a paranoid man was always paranoid for the right reasons.

;

they pair sat on the couch but Jungkook couldn't shake the feeling of being watched. the sun had set and he was laying on the bed with Taehyung. he had closed the blinds in the room to calm his nerves but he still felt on edge.

his hands shook violently as he stared at the television but didn't watch it. even the air in the room seemed to be more different.

all signs pointed to hell and Taehyung was calm.

but he wasn't.

Jungkook watched as his chest froze and fell shakily. even though they were cuddled up, Taehyung had little to no contact with Jungkook's bare skin. the red head would always snuggle into Jungkook's chest the moment he got and comment about how he felt like a radiator.

this was wrong.

"bloodsport."

"huh?" Taehyung mumbles but didn't look up.

"nothing."

Jungkook slowly inched his hand to his bed side stand and in one swift motion he grabbed the gun in it and put it on Taehyung. he quickly used one free hand to confine the elders wrists but Taehyung didn't fight back.

"it was only a matter of time before you tried to kill me." he was calm

"where's Taehyung?" Jungkook stared deep into the boy's eyes. he didn't know who this was, and after looking longer so many things looked different. his lips were paler, and his hair was a bolder red as if it had just been dyed unlike Taehyung's which was fading.

this is what was wrong.

"don't even wanna know who i am?" the boy said with a smirk on his face.

"where the fuck is Taehyung."

"well i guess i'll introduce myself since you don't wanna go along with my game. i'm a friend of Kiwons. funny how that works. Jimin and Taehyung are friends. Kiwon and I are friends. it's like an alternate universe in the same universe." he explained, "as Kiwon was hired to be Jimin, I was hired to be Taehyung."

Jungkook cocked the gun and sighed, "i didn't ask for your damn life story, tell me where Taehyung is or you die."

"oh but if you kill me you'll never find him."

"wrong answer."

"w-wait, you need me! how else will you find him?"

"i watch enough movies to know your role in my story and frankly i don't like dead weight."

Jungkook didn't hesitate to fire the gun at the man who looked like Taehyung. he didn't even get his name but that wasn't important. he needed to find his Taehyung.
