I have two ideas for this one so I'm internally battling with myself to try and decide which one is better... also I go back to school in less than 10 hours and I'm just here like 😑

Anyway, this is gonna be cringey and cliché and fluffy :) enjoy!

Bright, distant stars shine in the air, strung up by seemingly invisible string which causes them to hold their exclusively perfect pattern. Shining constellations distract you and Calum as the two of you lie together, your head resting on his arm.

No matter how much the two of you insist that you are only friends, it is blatantly obvious that you both have feelings towards the other.

The two of you have your hands intertwined and you run your fingers over the back of his hand. You smile as brightly as the stars above you as the dim lighting from the light above the two of you illuminates the tattoos on his arm.

"Tell me the story of them." You say softly, breaking the silence.

"You know what they all mean." Calum replies.

"Still, I like to hear about them." You say as Calum looks back up to the stars.

He goes through each tattoo, openly telling you the story of them even though you know everything about them already.

"Why won't you tell me about yours?" Calum asks, propping himself on his elbows and lifting your shirt enough to see the tattoo on your side.

The half-blown dandelion still carries on strong despite its seeds being blown away from it. The seeds then turn into beautiful birds as they drift further and further away from their origin.

"It's a bit weird but it's sort of a metaphor really." You start.

Calum tentatively listens to you as he looks at the tattoo.

"Basically it's saying that we can be as worthless and hated as a weed at points in our life. We're nothing but the dandelion. But as we grow and age, we change some things about us, lose some things that defined who we were and we blossom into something new and greater and worth while." You explain.

"Did you come up with that?" He asks.

"The meaning? Yes. I went to the artist, told her my plan and she drew me this out and I fell in love." You say.

Calum runs his finger over the tattoo and grins, "Why did you never tell me that before?"

"I thought you'd find me really weird and philosophical," You sigh, "You know I like to infer things and find a deeper meaning."

"Too right," Calum laughs, "I never knew that was what you thought about though."

You smile at him and he sighs, "Which stage are you? Are you the dandelion, the seeds or the birds?"

For a moment, you stop to think. You look at Calum and see the expectant look on his face.

The moonlight splashes down it's watery white glow onto his face, illuminating his features. In the distance, the trees surrounding your garden are silhouetted against the deep velvet sky and nothing could get in the way of yours and Calums deep, late night conversations.

"I'm the seeds. I'm not fully developed but I'm not who I was." You reply.

"I'm nearly the birds I think. I feel more complete day by day but I agree, I'm not quite there yet." Calum says before covering your tattoo back up and resting his chin on your stomach, making you giggle.

His deep brown eyes look black in the night but you still see the promising shine behind them and smile. His long eyelashes frame his eyes and their perfect shape leaves you fixated on them.

"I really love your eyes." You say, looking away finally.

Calum smiles and takes his chin off of you. He moves closer to your face so you can hear his steady breaths and your heart pounds faster in your chest.

Carefully, he reaches a hand up to your cheek and rests his forehead on yours, his eyes completely focused on yours. His nose gently touches yours and you feel his warm breath dance on your lips.

Gently, he leans down and, with closed eyes, grazes your lips with his. You smile slightly and use your arms to pull him closer. His lips lock intimately with yours and you feel the passion coursing through your veins.

Calum delicately repositions himself atop of you and he warily rests his body on yours, not wanting to hurt you.

You move both of your arms behind his neck and feel him deepen the kiss ever so slightly, his tongue sneakily runs over your bottom lip and you smirk into the kiss.

With air becoming desperate, Calum pulls back considering you're lay on the floor making that entirely impossible.

His eyes flicker up to yours again and for a moment he seems nervous before he whispers, "Birds?"

And you respond with, "Birds."

Wow cringey fluff
