Jeon Jeongguk walked into his private elevator, hitting the number '-3' with a loud sigh. He ran his hand through his dirtied brown locks, letting the hair fall back into his eyes. The elevator jerked to life, slowly making its way down to the floor he requested.Jeongguk looked down to his hands, scanning over the dried blood and calloused palms. He nervously started picking away at them, making them appear worse then before. His heart rate sped up as the numbers on the elevator slowly came to a stop.
The elevator 'dinged' loudly, and the doors opened to reveal his five friends standing there, eyes wide and smiles big.
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY!"
"HAPPY BIRTHDAY JACKASS!"
"YO JEONGGUK YOU LOOK DEAD!"
"DANG YOU'RE SO OLD NOW!"
"Hey Jeongguk."
The five shouted at him loudly, in unision, might I add. He shot his hands up to his ears, covering them from the loud assault.
"Will you guys fucking be quiet? I just had a really hard day and I do not need you four screaming in my ear about me surviving another year of hell."
He shouted at them, stepping out of the elevator and into the large room. It was Team Arrow's secret lair, basically. A table with many chairs was to the side, followed by four different capsules that held the Team's suits for missions. Jeongguk's motorcycle was leaning against a column, behind it a matte, silver Rolls-Royce.
The infirmery was next, where Jeongguk spent most of his time after missions. He always ended up getting hurt somehow. A punching bag was stationed to the side, beside it many other forms of work out machines. In the middle of all of this was a slightly raised area that held many computers on top, to tell the team where to go for their next mission and to be the birds-eye view of the scene.
Team Arrow consisted of Jeongguk himself as the Arrow, a deadly machine that could shoot anything from anywhere without barely even trying. People on the streets looked to him in fear, and whispered how he had no heart and could never love a soul. Next was Min Yoongi, or Spartan, who was a war veteran and had revenge written through his veins. He used to be Jeongguk's personal driver, until he stumbled across the hidden secret and decided to join the young man before he got himself killed.
The nicest one on the team was Park Jimin. He became the healer, per se, of the group. He graduated medical school a year earlier then the rest of his class because he was so good. The story of how he wound up with two vigilantes and one sadistic killer, well, that's a story for another time.
Next on the team was Kwon Jiyong. He was sadistic freak of nature, but he was a vital part of Team Arrow. He fights along side the duo, killing everything in his path. The duo found Jiyong one night alone, beaten, and unconscious. Bruises littered his body, and when they took him back to Jimin, signs of rape were also prominent. When Jiyong awoke, thanks to the skillful hands of Jimin, his mind turned to revenge, and he has never been the same since.
Last but not least, there's Kim Namjoon and Kim Seokjin. They are both tech nerds, and run the computers. They are the eyes and ears for the team when they are out on the field. They tell them when to go, when to run, when to stop, and when to get the hell out of there. They are also the people who made the suits and weapons for the team, always creating new gadgets to help.
Jeongguk sat down with an annoyed 'huff' in one of the swively chairs around the glass table. He took off his quiver of arrows and bow, handing them to a confused looking Jimin.
"Why did you go out on a mission on your birthday, and not even tell us?" He questioned, putting away the bow and arrows into their respective holding places.
The other team members sat down in the chairs beside him, all nodding along to Jimin's questions. Jimin got his medical supplies and kneeled down in front of Jeongguk, beginning to bandage his hands.
Jeongguk ran a hand down his face, "I don't know guys. I've never like birthdays. They bring back bad memories. I just needed something to take my mind off of it. So, I got in my gear and decided to go for someone who was doing a petty street crime. I didn't tell you because I knew I wouldn't need help. It was just one guy who was about to rape," he paused, glancing quickly at Jiyong. He didn't want to trigger anything bad in the broken boy. Jiyong wasn't fazed, though, instead he was swinging his legs above the ground, having an internal argument with himself on whether or not dog food was poisonous for humans.
Jeongguk continued, "It was just one old guy who was about to rape some little dude. Shot an arrow right through his head. He went out like a light."
| flashback to that moment |
Jeongguk scaled the roof tops, hopping from one to another. His ears were on high alert for any screams for help. Usually, him and his team go after bigger guys that held more power, like drug dealers or mafia bosses. Today, he just needed a quick kill.
After about 10 minutes of running around the different roofs of Star City, he was about to give up. Suddenly, a yell for help was shouted from down below in a dark alleyway. Jeongguk smiled at the sound, knowing he would get an easy kill in. He peered down into the alleyway, barely able to make out the sight of a tall, burley old man forcefully kissing a much younger, smaller man. One hand had both of the younger's trapped above his head, while the other explored places that only one special person should.
The sight disgusted Jeongguk, as he was brought back to memories of seeing Jiyong laying on the concrete floor of another alleyway, beaten and bruised. Jeongguk slowly took an arrow out of his quiver and loaded his bow. Pulling back the string to the side of his mouth, he held his breath.

The sound of an arrow shooting through the air was heard, and then the sound of it finding its home in the back of the man's head. A small smile appeared on the vigilante's face as he watched the man slump foward onto the smaller boy, before slowly sliding to the ground. Blood oozed out of the wounds, pooling around the boy's feet.
The boy looked up, connecting his chocolate brown eyes to Jeongguk's. Jeongguk felt his heart miss a beat as he took in the beauty below. His wavy hair, half dyed blond and the other a warm pink, was tousled and swooped down just above his eyes. He wore black skinny jeans, a Gucci shirt, and black, knee-high boots with a killer heel on them.
Blinking a few times, Jeongguk shook his head and walked off into the shadows of the roof top. Little did he know, the boy's heart also skipped a beat at the sight of the cold, heartless vigilante above, who had just saved his life.

Just for anyone confused- the picture at the top is Team Arrow's 'lair' I was describing. This book is a Taekook AU, roughly based around the show Arrow. For anyone who has watched it, here are who the characters are in the show-
Jeongguk- Oliver Queen
Min Yoongi- John Diggle
Kim Namjoon & Kim Seokjin- Felicity Smoak (yes I made both of them Felicity oOPS)
Jimin- he's no one in the show I made him up
Kwon Jiyong- he takes the role of Roy Harper, but he definitely isn't anything like Roy. He's just another member of the team.
I did not forget Jung Hoseok! Him and Taehyung will both appear in chapter one. Also sorry for all the boring descriptions, again this was just the prologue and the descriptions were needed.
