two months laterYou know that feeling when you feel like the whole world is against you? Like everything you do, every single thing, ends up falling apart right at the end? Or maybe you know the feeling of your soulmate, your one and only, dying right before your eyes.
Taehyung knows what death is. He's seen it before. He's shaken hands with it. However, he still felt terrified as he watched Jeongguk step in front of that bullet. As he watched his love fall backwards, collapsing onto the ground.
Taehyung still felt the breath being knocked out of him as Jiyong jumped on top of him, knocking them both to the ground to save him from the onslaught of bullets raining throughout the air. He still felt the rush of adrenaline as he screamed out Jeongguk's name, a blood-curdling scream that left his throat raw.
Taehyung still felt Jiyong drag him away, away from his dying love who was surrounded by his own blood. He still felt it; and he still does.

"He hasn't come out in over a week. We have to do something, Jiyong." Hoseok whispered, staring worriedly at the door to Jeongguk's bedroom. Taehyung had locked himself inside a week ago, and only came out for food. Even then, he would only spend about five minutes out and then rush back inside.
"What is there to do? The only way to get him out of that damn room is for Jeongguk to wake up, and that's not happening anytime soon, is it?" Jiyong snapped back, immediately regretting his words. "Sorry... I guess Jeongguk being in the hospital is getting to all of us..." He muttered, playing with the hem of his sweatshirt.
Hoseok nodded understandingly, walking up to the bedroom door. It felt like an invincible barrier between him and his best friend, and he wanted nothing more than to break it down.
Hoseok knocked gently on the door, "Taehyung? It's Hoseok and Jiyong. We just stopped by to check up on you. We brought you Chinese too. It's in the kitchen." Jiyong walked up beside him, letting his forehead rest on the door. "We love you, Tae. We just want to know you're safe."
They waited for a few more minutes in silence, before the realization that Taehyung would not answer them set it. With heavy hearts, they turned around and walked back through the dark hallway. Jeongguk's house felt like it had a dark storm looming over it, and as soon as you step inside you get poured on.
They were closing the front door when they heard the gentle unlock of Jeongguk's bedroom door, and tiny footsteps padding down the corridor. The front door opened up, revealing a broken boy wearing one of Jeongguk's black hoodies that was way too big for him, and dark grey joggers. The hood was pulled up, shielding most of Taehyung's face.
His pink lemonade dyed hair was spilling out from underneath the hood, and it was so long that it covered his eyes as well. Overall, Taehyung looked like a train wreck.
"Oh, baby..." Hoseok whispered, rushing forward and taking Taehyung's form in his arms. Taehyung let his head fall onto Hoseok's shoulder, and he shut his eyes tightly.
"Can I see him...?" Taehyung whispered, his voice sorrowful and hoarse. Hoseok looked towards Jiyong, who surprisingly had tear-filled eyes. He shrugged, "I don't know if that's the best idea—"
Taehyung's head shot up from Hoseok's shoulder, and Jiyong's heart broke when he saw how devastated his friend looked. Taehyung had heavy bags under his eyes, which were stained red. "Please..." He whispered, a deep strain in his tired voice.
