"Oh shit." Hoseok whispered, his face becoming that of a ghost.Taehyung's wide, box smile began to fall as he saw the surprised faces of his boyfriend and friends. "Are you guys okay?" He asked curiously, stepping farther into the mansion.
"Taehyung! Happy birthday! Let's get you upstairs to get ready, you're not aloud to see Jeongguk before the party, remember!" Hoseok rambled, rushing foward and tugging on Taehyung's hand.
"I think that's for when you're about to get married, Hoseok. Not for a birthday party." Taehyung replied.
Hoseok pulled Taehyung up the stairs, "Nonsense. It works for parties as well."
As the pair made their way up the stairs, much to Taehyung's disliking, Jiyong and Seunghyun stepped into the kitchen. "What the hell happened here? Did a bomb go off or something?" Jiyong asked, carefully walking around the puddles of alcohol that ran across the floor.
Jeongguk felt like banging his head through a wall. "Or something..."
"Hoseok will try to stall Taehyung as long as possible. We have up to about thirty minutes before he comes barging back down here to see what's going on, so I suggest we try to clean everything up and make do with what we have left." Jimin told the group, leaning heavily against Yoongi. Ironically, Jimin looked more tired than before he went upstairs to "sleep."
And so, the boys got to work. Jin and Namjoon worked on cleaning up the spilt alcohol, Jimin and Yoongi cleaned up the soiled food and ordered some new, and Jiyong and Seunghyun tried to fix the cake. Jeongguk, being almost nude, was on a mission to sneak into his room and grab some clothes without being seen by Taehyung.
He walked up the stairs and pressed his ear against the wooden door, listening intently. He blocked out the loud conversations coming from below him, and solely focused on the room before him.
"Something's definitely going on. First I walk in, get no 'Happy birthday, Tae!' from anyone, well except you but you don't count. Then, I see Jeongguk in only a towel, I mean sure he looked hella hot and literally almost made me pass out, but that's besides the point. Then, you rushed me up here to 'get ready'. Hoseok, we've been sitting here in silence with you staring at me for the past fifteen minutes. So tell me what's up, or I'm going down there to figure it out myself."
Jeongguk cursed quietly, realizing there was no way he could be able to sneak in there without being noticed. So, the second best idea popped inside his head.

"1... 2... 3.. HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TAEHYUNG!"
The lights came on and confetti rained down from the ceiling (or just from Jimin who was standing on the counter).
"Awe, thanks guys!" Taehyung exclaimed, walking into the brightly lit kitchen, followed by Hoseok.
Taehyung immediately went up to every one of his friends, hugging them tightly. There was one person missing, though.
Two warm, strong arms wrapped around him from behind, and the mystery man whispered into Taehyung's ear, "Happy birthday, babygirl."
A bright blush appeared on the boy's cheeks, and he turned around to face Jeongguk fully. His eyes were lit with happiness and love, and they both leant forward to connect their lips.
"I love you. So, so, so much. More than anything in the whole world." Jeongguk whispered into his lover's ear, hugging him closely to his body.
"You're going to make me cry before I even get to open presents, Kookie!" Taehyung whined, snuggling into the crook of his boyfriend's neck. Jeongguk chuckled, kissing Taehyung's forehead lightly.
