0.7 - aѕнтon

woke up, but I expected Luke to be gone, but there he was softly snoring. I found myself staring at him. He has a small frown on his face. I wonder why thought. His grip around my waist, tightens a bit, mumbling a few things. I slowly unwrap myself from Luke and get out of bed. I walk into the living room and I hear my cell phone ring. I quickly run into the kitchen, slipping as I grab my phone. I press the green button.

"Hello?" I say as I get up.

"Ashton darling how are you," I hear my mum's voice speak. I walk over to the stove.

"I'm doing great mum. How's Lauren and Harry," I ask as I begin to take out pancake mix. It's been a while since I've talked with my mum, but that's because school's been taking over my life.

"They're doing great sweetie. Harry misses you a lot. I, um, how's school. Anything intresting happening? Any boys,"

"Mum," I groan. I hear hear chuckling and I shake my head. I put her on speaker. "I, um, school's fine. Nothing intresting, besides Homecoming today, which I'm not going because I've got an art project to finish." I lie.

"And any boys that catch your eye darling,"

"Well I still have my eye," I joke. I sigh afterwards.

"So there is a guy," I can hear the smirk in my mother's voice.

"Um, yeah there is. But I don't know mum. He has a girlfriend, he gets around a lot, but when he's with me alone, he's nice and sweet sometimes and I don't understand him," I tell her as I begin to make pancakes. I have this fear that if I tell my mum I have cancer that she'll fly out here and I don't want her to worry about me, when she has to worry about Harry and Lauren. "He cares about me and I don't know why. He's got these amazing blue irses and this blonde hair. Makes him look attractive and then he has this lip ring and yeah he's got tattoos, but I mean he's got this soft side to him."

"Awe that's sweet Ashton. He seems like a nice guy. I hope to meet him, when I come over," my mother says. I flip a pancake. "He may seem like a bad boy slash douche bag, but the way you describe him, makes it seem like he's got a soft spot for you."

I smile, thinking about it. Sometimes Luke may be rude, but that's only at school. But when we're alone, he's sweet and nice. I don't get him, he's bipolar sometimes. "I guess you could be right," I tell her as I flip another pancake, putting one on a plate. "Anyway, I'm buying Harry's, Lauren's, and your's plane ticket, so that why you don't have to waste money."

"Ashton that's not necessary. I can pay for them,"

I shake my head, but then remember my mother can't see me. "Nope. I'm not letting you pay for the tickets, besides you already send me money to pay for the flat," I tell her.

I hear her sigh. "How about this. You buy Harry's and Lauren's plane ticket and I buy my own," she tells me.

I roll my eyes. "Fine then. It's a deal," I tell her as I begin to make some eggs. I made four pancakes. "So how's--"

"Mum!" I hear Lauren yell. "Mum where are you--"

"In the kitchen Lauren," I hear my mum say. I turn the eggs humming a bit. "So Harry's been doing good in soccer. He's made a few goals."

"That's good," I say as I shove the cooked eggs onto two plates.

"Mum who are you talking to," I hear Harry ask in the background. I hear some mumbling. "Ashton! I miss you!"

"Hey buddy, I miss you too. I've heard you made some goals in soccer. That's amazing Harry," I tell him as I turn the stover off.

"Thanks. I miss seeing you in the stands with Lauren and mum, but I sometimes pretend I see you and I get motavated," he says. I hear some yelling. "No I'm speaking to him, wait your turn!"
