"mina... i...."

jimin was at a lost for words. he leaned his head against the wall, sighing.

he didn't like situations like these, the pressure clouded his mind. he didn't know what to say.

"mina, i-i don't — you don't deserve someone like me," jimin managed to say. he gulped, hoping it would convince her otherwise.

jimin's heart sped up after mina stayed silent. the silence was killing jimin.

"m-mina? you there?"

mina hummed in response. "i was just thinking... why do i still love you?"

mina laughed dryly while jimin was silent on the other end.

"after everything you put me through, i still love you."

by now, mina was laughing hysterically, creeping jimin out.

he bit his lips, trying to figure out what to do.

"mina, please calm down," he said worriedly. soon she obeyed, becoming quiet on the other end of the call.

"mina, i-i'm sorry, but i don't love you anymore. or maybe i never even loved you at all."

mina hung up abruptly, making jimin startled. he sighed and brushed his hair back, breathing slowly.

he didn't know what was the right thing to do, and at times like this, jimin would crumble under the pressure.

"daddy."

minji appeared from the living room, with crossed arms and pursed lips.

jimin noticed the tone of her voice, instantly getting worried. "yes?"

she sat on the chair and huffed. "you don't love mommy?"

"i do, minji," he said, opening his arms for a hug. surprisingly, minji leaned away from him.

"how come you don't love mommy?" she whined, her voice cracking.

"huh? minji, come hug daddy," jimin said, leaning towards her, only for minji to get off the chair further away from him.

"no." she said sassily, stomping her foot before running into her room. jimin gritted his teeth.

jimin honestly didn't know how to handle this. kids were stubborn, and jimin had no patience to deal with that.

he pulled his phone and dialed a number.

"chaeyoung, are you okay now?"

...

"well can you come over, i... kinda need some help over here."

...

"alright cool, see you later."
