jimin woke up to someone tugging his arm,
he groaned and opened his eyes to see minji.

"daddy, im hungry," she pouted, attempting to pull him out of his bed.

jimin glanced at the clock, 8:24.

he ruffled minji's hair.
"minji-ah, why do you wake up so early? you should still sleep more."

he pulled her up onto the bed, and she snuggled with his arm.

"well unnie likes to workout in the morning, so she wakes me up to do it with her."

"chaeyoung works out?" he asked. she nodded yes.

'no wonder she has a nice waist' jimin thought.

"daddy, can we call mommy?"

"uhh..." jimin started, trying to figure out an excuse. he worried that mina might've found about chaeyoung and scold him.

"let's go eat breakfast first, kay?"

"and then we can call her?" she asked sweetly. jimin nodded, getting up from the bed.

"yayy!" she exclaimed, jumping off the bed.
she ran out the door to the kitchen while jimin trailed behind her.

he went to the kitchen cabinet and pulled out two bowls.

"which one minji? lucky charms or cocoa puffs?" he asked, turning around to minji who was seated the table.

"umm... lucky charms," she picked, drumming on the table in anticipation.

jimin nodded and turned around, opening up the lucky charms and pouring it into the two bowls.

he grabbed the milk and poured it into the bowl, halfway. then he took two spoons and plopped it in the bowl. he brought it to the table.

"thank you," minji said cutely, although she already took a spoonful of cereal and eating it.

jimin laughed cutely and started to eat his own cereal.

they sat at the table silently, as minji was too busy stuffing the cereal in her face.

minutes later, she exclaimed, "im finished!"

"good job minji," jimin said picking up both of their bowl and placing it into the sink.

"can we call mom now?"

"uh..."

"pleeeeasee?"

jimin sighed, knowing it was going to happen one way or another. "fine."

he pulled out his phone and sat next to minji. he dialed mina's number and waited to answer.

soon she picked up.

"jimin?"

"yeah, someone wants to talk to you," he replied quickly.

"wait can i tal-"

"mommy!" minji interrupted.

mina gasped. "minji! how are you doing baby?"

"im doing good mommy! im slept at daddy's house!" minji said, smiling wide.

"wow! really? let's facetime!" mina suggested.

jimin, who was silent the whole time, immediately gulped in fear, eyes widened.

"uh- actually we have to g-"

it was too late as mina already pressed the facetime, and minji being a kid immediately tapped the green button.

with mina's face appearing on his phone screen, jimin immediately pulled his head out the camera frame.

"konnichiwa, my little penguin," mina joked as she saw minji, making her laugh.

jimin couldnt help but let out a laugh himself, blowing his cover.

"jimin, where are you? come in the frame," mina said, her eyes peering around.

jimin forced himself to show half of his face into the frame, hoping it was enough.

"hey," he said softly.

she replied back with a small "hi."

"so i heard what happened to chaeyoung," mina started, looking straight into jimins eye.

"that's actually why minji is here, i wanted chaeyoung to get some re-"

"that should've never happened in the first place," mina raised her voice, startling jimin and minji.

"i know but-"

"stop with the 'buts' jimin, i-" mina stopped and let out a slow sigh. "jimin..."

"yeah?"

"minji... go play in the living room, daddy and i need to talk."

minji glumly obeyed and went off to the other room.

"you were saying?"

mina didn't answer as she stared intently into his eyes. jimin shifted uncomfortably in his chair.

"jimin, ive been thinking... that maybe i should just go back to korea now."

"wha- why?" asked a shocked jimin.

"it was pretty stupid of me for asking a random girl to take care of minji, and it would be even more stupid to let minji stay with you for another day."

jimin scrunched his eyebrows, and brushed his hair back. "why? you don't trust me?"

mina laughed dryly. "why? am i supposed to?"

jimin was about to respond unti mina interrupted him.

"you better not say yes because you know damn well that the answer is a definite no."

jimim huffed. "well can you at least give me a chance to prove myself to you, and minji?"

mina looked away from the camera and thought silently.

then she looked back. "fine. only because i want minji to grow up with a dad.

and because i want you to give me another chance to love you."

mina gasped and covered her mouth, she didn't intend for him to hear that last sentence.

"mina... i...."
