Book 3 rotbtd: Journey to Corona

Chapter 16

The new arrival on the ship was currently eating from the kitchen. The rest of the group study him. He was tall and had broad shoulders but not as broad as Kristoff. He was slender in the waist. He didn't seem extremely strong but they could tell he was coordinated by the way he twiddled his knife in between his fingers without getting cut.

"So Rapunzel how do you know Flynn again?" Hiccup asked.

"Well when I was trapped in my tower...Gothel was out and he happened to be running away from guards and hid in my tower....and I ended up hitting him with a frying pan." She said "I felt bad so i offered him some tea and he visited me a couple times after that and told me stories about where he went."

"It's cool when we first met she hit me with a hairbrush." Jack said.

"Ha I take a hairbrush any day then a frying pan." Flynn replied.

Jack smiled at the feeling of another person being able to see him.

"I'm guessing you grew up in Corona?" Jack asked

"Yes I did, very quickly if I might add. But yeah Corona has a festival about you every year."

"I know I went to that festival." Jack said.

"Well that must've been a scene. Jack Frost appears at his own festival."

"Why were you with pirates?" Merida questioned.

"Woah calm down Red I'm not with the pirates. I happen to be a common thief who got a little cocky and got caught trying to steal Captain Eret's gold medallion. Now that's what I call an interesting story...."

"I'm not interested in any of your thieving pirate stories. If you want to travel on this ship you answer me with a good response."

"Sorry Merida is a little......overly cautious about pirates ." Hiccup said.

"Sorry if I'm concerned that we just took a thief that was on a pirate ship." Merida said sternly "Since I apparently have clouded judgement I'll leave you all to the interview." She stormed off.

"Merida I didn't say that..." She was already gone

"Lady troubles..I've been there that's why I fly solo." He said

"Okay let's get back to business your Rapunzel's friend so we've decided to trust you." Hiccup said "Now you know the land of Corona like the back of your hand correct?"

"Yes."

"We need you to help us get into the king and queen's castle."

"Really?! Wow when you guys hit you hit big!"

"We're not there to steal anything we're going to the castle because Rapunzel is the king and queens lost daughter." He said

"Woah woah I get trying to do this whole scheme thing but using Rapunzel. I mean I'm a thief even I think that's wrong."

"Eugene it's not a con I am their real daughter." Rapunzel said.

"Wow....you're the lost princess....I mean it sort of makes sense... Strange girl locked in a tower." Flynn said.

"There is something else I have to tell you." She said. "I'm dead."

"What?!"

"Well I'm not exactly dead I'm immortal now. That's why I look so different. I died and the moon made me immortal." She said

"Do you know how crazy that sounds?!?!" He said.

"I know but it's true I'm like Jack now," she said.
