Book 3 rotbtd: Journey to Corona

Chapter 25

"I could heal him! We could find him and I could save him!" Rapunzel shouted.

"You can't save someone who is already dead." Merida said sadly.

"No! He sacrificed himself for us! Why didn't the man in the moon save him!?"Rapunzel cried.

Rapunzel's parents tried to comfort their daughter all she could do was cry. The room began to form clouds and it rained inside the boat.

"What's happening?!" The queen asked.

"Her powers are going awry because she's upset." Jack yelled.

"Powers?!" The king and queen questioned.

Lightening flashes began to strike. "Rapunzel you have to calm down!" Jack said.

"I can't help it!" She wheezed. She couldn't stop crying so the storm raged on inside the ship.

Elsa stood up and went near Rapunzel. "I know what it's like Rapunzel. When you can't control your powers because of fear or sadness or anger. She needs to do this."

"The ship is going to sink!" Merida yelled.

"Everyone leave the ship me and Elsa will stay with Rapunzel. Get everyone safe Anna." Jack said.

"I'm not leaving her like this!" Her mother said.

"I'm sorry your majesty but its better if your safe Elsa and I have powers. We'll be safe. I'll take good care of your daughter. I promise you can see her just not like this." Jack said.

Anna and Kristoff rushed everyone off the ship. Outside it was almost as dreary as inside the ship. The sky that was once so blue was dark and grey. The lush grass had gone barren and the sea rocked immensely.

"Are you sure Jack and Elsa are safe?" Merida asked.

"Yes. I know Elsa she knows how to handle this. And Jack can protect her."

"Why wasn't he saved Jack!! This is all my fault if I never came here!" Rapunzel cried.

The ship was beginning to fill up with water. As flashes of lightening and sounds of thunder filled the area.

"No it's not Rapunzel!" Jack said.

"He didn't want to be a guardian!" Elsa said.

"What?!" Rapunzel yelled.

The water outside of the boat began swirling and swirling.

"What's happening?!" The king asked

"Holy crap she's creating a typhoon!" Hiccup yelled.

"He said that he didn't want to have to live forever watching everyone die around him. He wanted to go to the other side." Elsa said.

"That's not fair! How could he just do that and leave! He could've been with us but he chose not to!" She said angrily.

"He didn't want to see the rest of us die and never be able to see us. He can visit us anytime now. He can be with us without having to see us all die. You and Jack may be immortal but the rest of us aren't. We will die someday. Now he can see all of us." She said.

The ship began spinning. The three were thrown to the sides of the inside of the ship. "We need to get out now." Jack said.

Jack grabbed for his sister's hand. He looked over where Rapunzel was and held his free hand out to her. The little brunette took it frightened of what she had created.

They flew up into the air as the ship began to sink. Jack got them onto the docks where everyone was waiting. The storm had calmed as did Rapunzel.

"I'm sorry about that. I'm still use to having powers." Rapunzel sniffled. "Elsa I owe you a knew ship."

"Don't worry about it. I froze a hundred ships Remember? No big deal." Elsa said.

"How were you able to do those things?" The queen asked her daughter.

"I have powers. I'm the guardian of Spring and Nature." Rapunzel replied.

"Wait. You're a guardian like Jack? But for that to happen you would've had to...." King Jamie said.

"Die? Yep I did. But the man in the moon brought me back." She replied.

"So you're immortal?" Her mother asked.

"Yes. And not everyone can see me. Only people who believe in me." She replied. "We can talk about this later. Right now we have to make sure Hans doesn't take over your kingdom."

"Prince Hans? Him taking over us?" King Jamie asked.

"Yes that's what he plans to do. He tried to take Arendelle but didn't succeed. Now he's followed us all the way to Corona." Anna explained.

"What should we do? He has control of our army. The soldiers have his trust." King Jamie said.

"Not when they find out he captured their king and queen's lost princess." Rapunzel replied.

"But they can't see you." Hiccup said.

"Actually they can since they were the ones that captured me when I had my necklace on. Remember?" She replied.

"What are you talking about?" The queen asked confused.

"It's okay mother everything will be explained once we take down Hans. I promise." She said.

"This might be dangerous guys, if the soldiers take Hans' side we are in for a battle." Jack said.

"For Euguene." Elsa put her hand out.

"For Eugene." Anna said placing a hand on her sisters.

"For Eugene." Rapunzel said placing a hand.

The rest placed their hands in as they recited their lost one's name in honor. They broke apart and began settling towards their plan.

"Are you sure your willing to do this Mer? I don't want to risk you getting captured again." Hiccup asked his loved one.

Things had been rocky with the two since their fight on the ship. Merida realized that there were bigger things that mattered than keeping a grudge. She looked at Hiccup with loving eyes.

"Yes, Eugene risked his life for us. I can risk getting captured again. Hiccup I'm so sorry about all this. I shouldn't have been so..."

"It's okay Merida. We both were at fault. I'm sorry too." He said. "I should've been more aware of having an ex pirate on our ship would make you feel."

"Thank you." She replied. "Now lets go get Hans."
