Chapter 24

"What do you mean he's dead!?" Jack cried out.

The king and queen had just released the sad news of Jack's newest friend. Jack's mind went racing to all the possibilities of how this event could've been stopped. If only he had come sooner.

"I'm sorry Jack he was fighting out guards! He was an escaped prisoner. They were just doing their job!" King Jamie said.

"He was a good man! He believed in me! He kept my sisters and friends from remaining imprisoned! He died doing what I should've done!" He said. His head hung low trying to grasp the reality of the situation. All he wanted to do was hit something. If he would've arrived faster he could've saved all of them. Flynn would be alive.

"It's not your fault Jack. I'm so sorry if I knew.....I would've let them go. Hans will pay for this." King Jamie said.

"He will. We have to find Rapunzel now come on they're probably hiding in the woods or the forest."

"Well jump on." Jack said sitting back on the saddle of Toothless

The king pulled himself right on with no hesitation. The queen was more hesitant.

"He can't fly your majesty, only with his owner we'll be on the ground the whole time." Jack reassured her.

"Alright......it's just a lot to take in when this winter spirit who knows my husband from childhood comes in on a dragon saying he knows my lost daughter." She said. She took her husbands hand and lifted herself on.

"Okay Toothless find Hiccup!"

"Hiccup?" The two passengers asked.

"Toothless!" Miller shouted. "Come back here boy."

Toothless went to Miller instantly licking him.

"Looks like you caused a lot of trouble here. Who are you two?" He asked.

"He can't see me." Jack said.

"I'm the king and we need to borrow your dragon. We're trying to find his owner." King Jamie said.

"I am sorry your majesty but I am in charge of keeping care of this dragon." Miller said.

"We need him to find our daughter." Queen Lydia said.

"Rapunzel her name is Rapunzel." Jack said.

"Her name is Rapunzel." King Jamie said.

Miller instantly knew whom they were talking about. She was one of the companion's of Hiccup. She wore that bright yellow necklace all the time. She also caused an octupus to climb on board somehow.

"Fine but please take care of him. My captain is counting on me." Miller said.

"Thank you sir, you will be rewarded." King Jamie said.

Toothless went running off through the castle and out the gates. He listened for any sign of his owner wanting to be reunited with him as soon as possible.

Meanwhile...........

"Where is everyone?" Anna asked.

They had gotten back to their empty ship. No crew members were to be found since they were all in town running after Toothless.

"So much for a loyal crew." Kristoff commented.

"Something's not right. Toothless isn't here." Hiccup said.

Kristoff placed Elsa down on one of the benches. He joined Hiccup below deck worried about his reindeer friend.

"Sven!" He called out.

Sven poked his head out of the kitchen where he had found a bag of carrots. He had been munching on for quite some time.

"Well Sven is here, do you think they took off without us?" Anna asked.

"Impossible Miller would never do that." Hiccup replied. "Rapunzel your necklace!

Rapunzel's once glowing necklace had now died out. The only thing that was letting her be seen besides belief was gone. She looked down sadly at the poor little trinket.
Thump thump

"Dragon!" Someone yelled.

"I think we found him." Rapunzel said.

Crashing onto the ship was the night fury. He was carrying three passengers on his back. Once he spotted Hiccup he jumped on him instantly happy to see his owner once again.

"Hey bud am I glad to see you." Hiccup said struggling to get out of Toothless' hold.

Jack came down swiftly.

"Rapunzel I found your- oh no." Jack said. As he saw her necklace. "It's too late."

"No it's not. I can make them believe." Rapunzel said.

Jack nodded and helped the king and queen get down from Toothless who was still on top of Hiccup.

"Now Jamie remember when you couldn't see me at first. Rapunzel is like me. She died but was saved by the moon to become the guardian of spring and nature. You have to believe."

King Jamie believed with all his heart. He wanted to see his daughter again. When he opened his eyes he saw her. Her short brown hair and her mother's green eyes. She looked beautiful. She had a glow around her that he couldn't explain. He walked up to her and touched her cheek.

"Hi dad." She said.

"My girl has returned to me." He said. He embraced her with all his love so happy to have his daughter back. The queen however still stood in her place. She didn't see her.

"Where is she?" Queen Lydia demanded.

"She's right here dear." King Jamie said.

"No she's not! It's thin air. I want to believe she's here but I can't." The queen began to cry,

Rapunzel went over to her mother. She touched her on the shoulder. Rapunzel had finally seen her real mother. She looked a lot like her she had to admit, much more than she ever did with Gothel. Rapunzel took a deep breath.

"Mother I'm here. Just believe, Believe in me."

"She's touching your left shoulder. She says that you need to believe in her." King Jamie said to his wife.

"I do believe in my daughter I always have." Queen Lydia said. And closed her eyes thinking of the memories of her and baby Rapunzel. As she opened her eyes she saw her daughter. Finally she had been found.

The queen cried out in joy and hugged her daughter whom had been stolen from her years ago.

"Where's Elsa?" Jack asked.

"She's over here Jack. She was overheated and she hasn't woken up yet. She's been in and out of consciousness. We don't know what to do." Anna said.

Jack went towards his sisters. He touched Elsa's hand, it was warm. He couldn't tell if that was a good thing or not.

"I have an idea " Jack said.

Jack picked up his staff in hand he concentrated on snow and good memories. He waved his staff over Elsa. Snow began falling softly on the ice queen. Little white snowflakes embedded into her hair and clothes. Her temperature began to become lower yet somehow she looked more alive. Then her eyes flickered. Snowflakes fell from her eyelashes.

"Jack?" She said.

"Hey sorry I couldn't come sooner." He said.

"Jack Eugene he's-"

"I know." Jack said sadly,

"Eugene is what?" Rapunzel asked.

"Eugene died, he was killed." Elsa said. "Protecting us."
