Rain Shall Fall

Chapter 2

The boy Arlert sat himself a few rows away from Annie. She glanced at him before turning her attention to Ms Zoe. All she heard was rambling about the upcoming theater performance which is to be held several months later and many were expected to participate due to lack of manpower.

Apparently it was a boring story. Romeo and Juliet. She read the book before and she didn't like it. She'd rather spend her time bullying someone.

Not long later it was recess. She ate only a sandwich before going to the library. Not many were there luckily. Just Moblit, Jean and, great timing. Marco's here. She nearly smirked. She glanced at Bertholdt and Reiner behind her. They knew what to do. She grabbed Marco and pulled him to the furthest shelf. Bertholdt and Reiner held Jean back. Moblit was oblivious to his surroundings, burying his nose in a book which was meant to help Ms Zoe.

She pushed him down and started to kick him, releasing her anger at the freckled boy. Marco was about to shout for help when she took hold of his shirt,"Don't you dare call for anyone. Or you'll be bullied much worse." Marco whimpered, scared at this sight of her eyes.

Armin wanted to look for the library. It has always been a comfort to read books. As he entered, he wondered why one of his classmates was struggling with two others as if trying to get past them.

He went closer to see the commotion. He noticed what was going on and shouted,"What are you doing?!" Moblit raised his head a bit but returned to his book, afraid of Annie.

Annie looked at him,"Isn't it obvious?" "Stop it!" he protested. Annie thought for a while. She then snapped her fingers, which was Bertholdt and Reiner's cue to stop. Jean went to Marco's side quickly, looking for injuries. Annie turned her attention to Armin, who looked angry.

Annie said,"So in order for me stop bullying this weakling, what would you do?" Armin thought hard. "I have an idea," Annie said,"Why not you become my slave? Then I wouldn't bully other students." Armin said finally,"Fine!"

Rumors spread to Armin's brave act. So far the only others who stood up to Annie was Eren and Mikasa. Words spread from ear to ear on how the new student did it. And the only witnesses were Marco, Jean and Moblit.

But nobody bothered to tell what Armin had been doing for Annie for a week. Carrying bags, books and not letting him rest. Annie's expression remained the same, but both Bertholdt and Reiner knew she wasn't satisfied. In fact, she had another idea.

"You want me to steal the exam answers!?"
