It's been a week and you want to know what that means? It means that I'm finally free! Good bye being grounded and hello being free! Jumping out of bed, I quickly tie my hair into a ponytail, throw my glasses on and brush out of my room.

Speeding down the stairs, I ignore the stares from everyone as I realize that I am still in my baggy pyjama top with grey joggers. Busting threw the breakfast room door, I spot Luci sitting down earring a bowl of cereal. "Where's mom and dad?" I ask slightly out of breath as I frantically look around the room.

She hands me a weird look while nodding her head towards the open door. "Office." With that she shoves another spoon full of cereal into her mouth.

"Perfect. Thank!" Spinning around, I dash out the room.

"Tell me what happens!" She calls after me as I shout an "okay".

Knocking roughly on dad's office door, a faint 'come in' is heard before I catch my breath and push the doors open. Dad sits behind his big dark brown desk with mom standing by his side. They're nothing looking at the computer in front of them.

"Phone. Now." I demand as they hand me a raise eyebrow. "Please?"

Dad chuckles. "I still can't believe you made it a month without your cell phone." Pulling a drawer open, he reaches in and grabs something before tossing me the phone. "You could have brought it to school. You know that right?"

Catching it, I sigh in relief. "Yeah, I guess but who to text when everyone I talk to is already at school and I practically live with my friends in this house?"

"I see you're talking to us now." Mom says with a smile on her face.

My smile grows as I lean back in the chair across from dads desk. "Of course! How else was I suppose to get my phone back?"

Dad rolls his icy blue eyes. A smile on his face as he's clearly annoyed with my behaviour. "Well, I'm glad that we're back on speaking terms."

"Yup!" Getting up, I go around the desk to give mom a hug, then giving dad a kiss on the cheek.

Heading towards the door, I'm stopped by dad telling me something I never thought he would say. "Antonio texted you a couple of times. He even called the house to see if you were available."

I slowly turn around, my eyes widening. "What did you tell him? What did he want?"

"I told him you're grounded and honey, I just told you that he wanted to speak to you."

"Oh, right, sorry." I mumble. "Thanks." Heading out the door, my legs carry me towards the breakfast room to speak to Luci but when I got there, she wasn't there.

Huffing, I go to the only other place she would be. Busting threw the kitchen doors, the cooks rush around making breakfast for the house as I spot Luci sitting at a bar stool talking to one of chefs.

Plopping down besides her, I hand the chef—Paul, a toothy smile. "Oh hey! How did it go?" Luci asks as I shrug my shoulders.

"Hello Fionia. Would you like something to eat?" Paul asks me as his French accent makes it hard to understand.

He's tall, bald and basically reminds me of a French version of Mr.Clean, but he's honestly such a sweet guy. He's been friends with my father for years when they met in Paris. Paul was just a busboy in some restaurant at the time and when my dad busted in to stop a shootout with Angelo, Paul saved my dads live. Dad is all about rewarding ones actions, so he got to know Paul and later brought him over to Canada where he would work for us and be the head chef.
